On Saturday we attended the HSCC International Trophy historic race meeting at Silverstone. The day started with a walk around the paddock to take a close up look at the cars. After taking some pictures during qualifying we had a quick lunch in the Silverstone Club, and then headed out on track for the afternoons action. We hope you like the pictures.

The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship returns to Watkins Glen International for the sixth round of the 12-race season, the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen on Sunday, July 1. The race also represents the third round of the four-race Tequila Patrón North American Endurance Cup season.

The GT4 European Series is ready for round three of the 2018 season at the Misano World Circuit this weekend. The grid will be packed again, with 44 cars set to compete on the 4.2 kilometer long track, 

Gustavo Menezes has described his third-place finish in last weekend’s Le Mans 24 Hours as ‘like a victory’, after the talented young American led the Rebellion Racing charge in a captivating race full of unexpected twists-and-turns.

After 5 years, the Misano circuit will return to host the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe. The third of the six double rounds of the season will take place this weekend (June 23 and 24). After the Monza and Silverstone rounds, the continental series will be back in Italy to present another exciting challenge with a line-up of almost 50 cars and the absolute novelty of the two Saturday’s races taking place at night, in addition to an unusual subdivision that will group into a single line-up the AM and Lamborghini Cup classes and into a different one the PRO and PRO-AM categories.

The Pirelli World Challenge is halfway complete, and this weekend, the series journeys to Elkhart Lake Wisconsin for the Grand Prix of Road America. Flying Lizard Motorsports will return to the fan favorite track with its two full season Audi R8 LMS GT4 sports cars in addition to a third entry of a Porsche 911 GT3 R, driven by Flying Lizard customer Andy Wilzoch.

I’ve just had a well-earned good night’s sleep after the Le Mans 24 Hours with Aston Martin Racing – my second Le Mans, but the first where I actually got to drive in the race!

Series Elite looks ahead to the first major stepping stone since the launch of it’s new racing initiative for the over 50’s at Stratstone Jaguar, in Mayfair, London.

Emil Frey Lexus Racing are looking to extend the run of success for the RC F GT3 with their debut appearance at the Misano circuit in Italy this weekend, contesting two Sprint Cup races in the Blancpain GT Series. With points scored at Silverstone and a sensational victory at the last meeting at Paul Ricard in France, the team are in second place in the overall championship and sixth in the Sprint Cup.

In 19 years of competing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Corvette Racing has experienced both disappointment and achievement. The constant in each case, though, is the drive of those on the program to give maximum effort each and every appearance.

Young open wheel pilot Gabby Chaves will make his return to IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar competition next weekend as he joins Mustang Sampling Racing for the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen. Chaves will team up with Filipe Albuquerque and Christian Fittipaldi in the No. 5 Mustang Sampling Cadillac Prototype as the team pursues a third consecutive victory in the prestigious event.

At the end of a strong race, Team No. 3 REBELLION Racing finishes third overall and first Team non-Hybrid. The REBELLION R-13 No. 1 finishes fourth overall.

Moving from its usual spot as the Blancpain GT Sports Club season-opener, the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli will welcome the grid for round three of the SRO Motorsports Group’s Bronze-only series.

It is exactly 70 years since Silverstone hosted its very first Grand Prix and that’s a magical milestone that will be celebrated in style at next month’s magnificent Silverstone Classic (20-22 July).

While United Autosports recorded a fine LMP2 top-five in this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours that finished this afternoon (17 Jun) the Anglo-American team also endured massive disappointment. Having achieved an amazing fourth in class and sensational fifth overall on its twice-around-the-clock French race début last year, the Leeds-based outfit this time around took the chequered flag in fifth in LMP2 courtesy of Juan Pablo Montoya (COL)/Hugo De Sadeleer (CH)/Will Owen (US) who brought their Ligier JSP217 sports-prototype home ninth overall. But a podium for this car with less than two hours to run had looked a distinct possibility while the “sister” United Ligier of Filipe Albuquerque (POR)/Phil Hanson (GB)/Paul Di Resta (GB) had also seemed destined for a class podium too but crashed out of the race with less than five-hours remaining.

The Ginetta G60-LT-P1 LMP1 car made its competitive race debut at the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 June with the customer TRSM Racing team. With support from Ginetta factory engineers and technicians, the team celebrated taking the chequered flag in the most gruelling endurance race in the world.

TOYOTA GAZOO Racing won the 86th Le Mans 24 Hours, taking an historic first victory at its 20th attempt.
