As the 2018 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship draws to a close this weekend, Corvette Racing finds itself in a familiar spot: fighting for another title at Road Atlanta. Saturday’s 10-hour Petit Le Mans is the final race on the IMSA calendar with championships in each of the three classes up for grabs at the series’ cornerstone event.

Lucas Di Grassi and Marino Franchitti will join Mazda Team Joest for the ten-hour Petit Le Mans, the season-ending event of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Road Atlanta plays host to the final round of the IMSA Championship this weekend, with Ford, BMW, Porsche and Corvette all in contention for honours in the GTLM class at the famous 10-hour race that is Petit Le Mans. Porsche’s Nick Tandy and Earl Bamber, and Corvette Racing’s Tommy Milner, Oliver Gavin and Antonio Garcia look ahead to the battle in store.

Following a win and double-podium finish at Virginia International Raceway in August and a second victory at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca this past month the team is fully prepared for Petit Le Mans – an event they won last year in the final race for the BMW M6 GTLM.

Whelen Engineering Racing will be heading to the season-ending Motul Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta with its usual goal of winning the 10-hour race on Saturday, Oct. 13.

Mustang Sampling Racing will look to race for the victory in the 2018 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season-ending Motul Petit Le Mans, set for Saturday, Oct. 13 at Road Atlanta. Mustang Sampling Racing drivers Filipe Albuquerque and Christian Fittipaldi will be joined by Tristian Vautier for the ten-hour race.

Santiago will once again play host to the ABB FIA Formula E Championship in season five – featuring a new track in the surroundings of Parque O’Higgins for the second running of the Antofagasta Minerals Santiago E-Prix on January 26.

With the first European rounds of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) Super Season complete, BMW Team MTEK is making the 9,500 kilometre journey to the Fuji International Speedway in Japan for the “Six Hours of Fuji”, the first of two rounds in Asia.

Ningbo International Speedpark in south-eastern China plays host to the Blancpain GT Series Asia season finale this weekend (October 13/14) when a total of five championship titles will be decided.

Aston Martin Racing’s new FIA World Endurance Championship challenger – the Vantage GTE – heads East in search of its first podium this weekend, as the Super Season goes racing at Fuji Speedway in Japan.

The Porsche GT Team is keen to extend its lead in the GTE-Pro category of the FIA World Sports Car Championship WEC. After scoring a double victory at Le Mans, as well as podium finishes at the season-opener in Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) and Silverstone, Great Britain, Porsche now leads the manufacturers’ and drivers’ classifications. Round four of the 2018 season is contested on the Fuji Speedway in Japan on 14 October. On the tradition-steeped 4.563-kilometre racetrack at the foot of Mount Fuji, the Porsche GT Team fields two ca. 510 hp 911 RSR race cars. Four identical vehicles will be campaigned by customer teams in the GTE-Am category at the fourth race of the 2018/2019 WEC Super Season.

After ten rounds of racing, the battle for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship has come down to the final event of the season. Paul Miller Racing has led the GTD class points for the last nine races, looking to clinch the championship title in round eleven, Petit Le Mans. In honor of the matte black livery in which the team celebrated their 2014 Petit Le Mans victory, the team will trade in their traditional red, black, and silver colors for a black livery with Lamborghini green highlights, showcasing the sleek body of the No. 48 Huracán GT3.

Glenn Watson and Brandon Watson brought the Hoosier Racing Tire Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model starting field to the line to kick-off the day’s schedule. With 75 laps to settle the score, the family reunion was the perfect kick-off to a Thanksgiving Sunday of action. Glenn Watson took the lead early, but his nephew was working the inside line and claimed the top spot with four laps on the board. A yellow flag for a backstretch incident slowed the pace with eight complete, but Watson was able to hold onto the lead and started working through the backmarkers at lap 15. With the pack running some strong, consistent laps Brandon Watson built-up a solid lead. A lap 37 caution that turned into a red flag for a third turn crash that ended the day for Jordan Howse. The turning point of the event came along with a lap 60 caution. Watson’s car had been sputtering and he took the #9 ride to the pits. Glenn Watson took the lead on the restart, with the former Autumn Colours winner now working through traffic from the rear of the field. Glenn Watson took the $2500 win. Gary McLean, in his first career Super Late Model start was second. Ryan Kimball, Brandon Watson and Gary Passer completed the top five.

The KCMG Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 squad enters the final round of the Blancpain GT Series Asia at Ningbo International Speedpark, China this weekend still in the title fight.

Just over ten quick months after TeamTGM made its race debut with the all new Mercedes-AMG GT4 platform at Daytona International Speedway, the team heads to the final race of the season this weekend at Road Atlanta in contention for the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar GS Championship.
