FFF RACING, LAMBORGHINI, LIND AND KODRIC SEAL GT3 TITLE WITH VICTORY IN BLANCPAIN GT SERIES ASIA NINGBO SEASON FINALE

FFF Racing Team by ACM and Lamborghini capped a memorable Blancpain GT Series Asia campaign at Ningbo earlier this morning by wrapping up four GT3 titles. A third victory of 2018 was more than enough for Dennis Lind and Martin Kodric to claim the Overall and Silver Cup crowns, while Hiroshi Hamaguchi and Marco Mapelli’s Pro/Am success also helped the Chinese squad celebrate the Teams’ title.

GEOFF EMERY AND GARTH TANDER WIN EXTRAORDINARY HAMPTON DOWNS 500

Geoff Emery and Garth Tander have won an extraordinary Australian GT finale and the  Hampton Downs 500.

PAUL MILLER RACING, LAMBORGHINI CLINCH TEAM, DRIVER,  MANUFACTURES CHAMPIONSHIPS

Saturday evening at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia, Paul Miller Racing, with drivers Bryan Sellers and Madison Snow, with endurance addition Corey Lewis finished the Motul Petit Le Mans in third place, clinching the 2018 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Team, Driver, and Manufacturer championship titles.

WEATHERTECH RACING WINS AT PETIT LE MANS

Cooper MacNeil (Hinsdale, Ill.), Gunnar Jeannette (Salt Lake City, Ut.) and Daniel Serra (Brazil) won the GTD Class in today’s running of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Motul Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta.

PORSCHE WINS PETIT LE MANS

The Porsche GT Team has won the final round of the 2018 IMSA Weathertech SportsCar Championship. Patrick Pilet (France), Nick Tandy (Great Britain) and Frédéric Makowiecki (France) won the Petit Le Mans race at Road Atlanta on Saturday. In the race over ten hours at Braselton, Georgia, Porsche put in a strong performance against tough competition in the GTLM class. Thanks to perfect tactics and a flawless race, the ca. 510 hp Porsche 911 RSR scored its third win of the season in the North American championship. Laurens Vanthoor (Belgium), Earl Bamber (New Zealand) and Mathieu Jaminet (France) concluded the last IMSA race of the year in sixth place.

With an IMSA WeatherTech Championship on the line and ten hours of flatout racing to take on, Meyer Shank Racing arrived at Road Atlanta ready to do battle with its two car Acura NSX GT3 line up.

The pair of Soul Red Crystal Mazda RT24-P prototypes finished second and third in the grueling Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta on Saturday night, securing their podium positions right as the checkered flag fell.

BMW M8 GTE COMPLETES INAUGURAL NORTH AMERICAN SEASON WITH THIRD AND FOURTH PLACE FINISHES AT PETIT LE MANS

BMW Team RLL closed the inaugural North American season of competition for the BMW M8 GTE with third and fourth place GTLM class finishes at the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Motul Petit Le Mans. John Edwards, Jesse Krohn and Chaz Mostert finished third in the No. 24 BMW M8 GTE, completing 419 laps of the 2.54-mile, 12-turn Road Atlanta circuit in the ten hour race after starting from the pole position. Bill Auberlen, Connor De Phillippi and Alexander Sims finished fourth in the No. 25 BMW M8 GTE, only 1.755 seconds behind their sister car after taking the green flag from the seventh spot. The race was won by the No. 911 Porsche 911 RSR.

WHELEN ENGINEERING RACING SECURES TWO CHAMPIONSHIPS IN PETIT LE MANS NAIL-BITER

Whelen Engineering Racing captured its second IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship title in three years Saturday night, finishing seventh with the No. 31 Whelen Engineering Cadillac DPi-V.R driven by Eric Curran, Felipe Nasr and Gabby Chaves in the 21st Motul Petit Le Mans.

MUSTANG SAMPLING RACING ONE TURN SHORT OF PETIT LE MANS VICTORY

After winning the season-opening Rolex 24 At Daytona, Mustang Sampling Racing came only one turn shy of bookending the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, running out of fuel virtually in sight of the checkered flag for Saturday’s 21st Motul Petit Le Mans after 10 hours of intense racing at Road Atlanta.
