AL HARTHY READY TO SHINE DURING TWO-DAY 24 HOURS OF SPA TEST

Championship challenging Blancpain Endurance Cup driver Ahmad Al Harthy and his Oman Racing team return to track action this week, at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, for two days of officially timed testing ahead of the biggest race of the season – July’s Total 24 Hours of Spa.

AUDI SPORT CUSTOMER RACING EXPECTS MORE THAN TEN AUDI R8 LMS ON THE 24 HOURS OF SPA GRID

For the 24 Hours of Spa from July 25 to 28, Audi Sport customer racing expects more than ten Audi R8 LMS on the grid. The 24-hour race is part of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup. It is also the third in five rounds of the Intercontinental GT Challenge for which Audi Sport has nominated four race cars.

LOTS AT STAKE IN THE 24H PORTIMAO

For the third consecutive year, the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve serves as the venue for the Hankook 24H PORTIMAO. The event in Portugal is the first of two 24-hour races in Europe organised by Dutch agency CREVENTIC, counting towards the 24H SERIES Europe and the 24H SERIES Continents, both powered by Hankook. With the event featuring the GT division and the TCE division, a good mix of GTs and touring cars is expected for the Portuguese round. Both divisions will have separate starting groups and prize-giving ceremonies.

WEATHERTECH RACING FINISHES THIRD AT THE GLEN

WeatherTech Racing drivers Cooper MacNeil (Hinsdale, Ill.), Toni Vilander (Kankaanpää, Finland), and Jeff Westphal (San Mateo, Calif.) crossed the finish line in third in GTD in today’s running of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen.

MEYER SHANK RACING WINS WATKINS GLEN WITH ACURA

Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) won the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen on Sunday as Trent Hindman, Justin Marks, and Mario Farnbacher scored a decisive victory in the No. 86 AutoNation / Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) Acura NSX GT3. The victory also extends the team’s provisional championship points lead (119-103).

WEERTS AND VANTHOOR CLINCH BLANCPAIN GT WORLD CHALLENGE EUROPE VICTORY AT MISANO

Dries Vanthoor and Charles Weerts triumphed in the weekend’s second Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe race at Misano to secure a first victory for the 2019 campaign for Belgian Audi Club Team WRT.

R-MOTORSPORT CONTINUE ON UPWARD TRAJECTORY

Ricky Collard and Marvin Kirchhöfer have posted the best result yet for R-Motorsport in the Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe. The duo produced a fourth-place finish at Misano in Italy, scoring points for the third time this season. Hugo de Sadeleer and Aaro Vainio made it a successful weekend all round for the team with a podium finish in the Silver Cup.

HARPER LEADS PORSCHE CARRERA CUP CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHT AT SEASON MIDPOINT

As the Porsche Carrera Cup GB, the fastest single marque GT racing championship in the UK, closed out the first half of its 2019 season at Oulton Park, 18-year-old Porsche GB 2018 / 2019 Junior Dan Harper (JTR) emerged leading the overall championship standings. Two thrilling races in Cheshire saw victories for Junior Harper and George Gamble (Amigos Redline Racing), Harper’s other championship rival Lewis Plato (Motorbase Performance) added to his impressive tally of podium finishes with two further visits.

WAKO’S 4CR LC500 WINS SUPER GT AT BURIRAM FROM POLE POSITION

The Chang SUPER GT RACE, Round 4 of the 2019 AUTOBACS SUPER GT series, was run on June 30th (Sun.) at the Chang International Circuit (4,554m × 66 laps) in Buriram, Thailand. In the GT500 class, the No. 6 WAKO’S 4CR LC500 driven by Kazuya Oshima and Kenta Yamashita started from pole position and ran on to win. In the GT300 class, the No. 10 GAINER TANAX triple a GT-R driven by Kazuki Hoshino and Keishi Ishikawa was the winner.

CALDARELLI AND MAPELLI CLINCH BLANCPAIN GT HOME TRIUMPH FOR LAMBORGHINI AT MISANO

Andrea Caldarelli and Marco Mapelli secured a first win on European soil for Orange1 FFF Racing with a masterful showing under the lights at Misano. In doing so, the all-Italian duo also secured local brand Lamborghini top honours on home turf in the weekends’ opening Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe contest.

Reno Racing’s Jens Reno Moller scored his third Blancpain GT Sports Club victory in an action-packed second race at the Misano World Circuit on board the #11 Honda NSX GT3 Evo, putting himself within reach of the title ahead of the penultimate round.

KOEBOLT AND KISEL CLAIM GT4 EUROPEAN SERIES RACE WIN AND POINTS LEAD AT MISANO

Jan Kisiel and Max Koebolt emerged victorious from a dramatic GT4 European Series race at the Misano World Circuit this morning. The #4 Leipert Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT4 lost the lead ten minutes from the end of the second one-hour race, but last-minute drama for the #9 CMR Alpine handed victory to the Leipert Motorsport crew after all. Kisiel and Koebolt leave the Italian circuit with the Silver Cup points lead. Schwede Motorsport and Street Art Racing claimed class wins in Italy.

2019 Austrian Grand Prix – Saturday

A challenging Qualifying session for the Austrian Grand Prix saw Lewis qualify P2 and Valtteri P4 for tomorrow’s Austrian Grand Prix.

HOOK LEADS FROM START TO FINISH TO TAKE FIRST BLANCPAIN GT SPORTS CLUB VICTORY IN MISANO OPENER

Rinaldi Racing’s Christian Hook stated his claim in the Blancpain GT Sports Club with a fine victory on board the #33 Ferrari 488 GT3 at the Misano World Circuit, leading from start to finish ahead of Lee Mowle, who brought out the red flag with a heavy crash late on.

FIRST GT4 EUROPEAN SERIES VICTORY OF 2019 FOR BULLITT RACING

Bullitt Racing has won the first race of the GT4 European Series weekend at the Misano World Circuit with its #66 Mercedes-AMG GT4. Romain Monti and Alex Lambertz won on their debut with the Spanish team in today’s race. RN Vision STS was victorious in the Pro-Am class, with Selleslagh Racing Team clinching the Am class win at the Italian circuit.

WAKO’S 4CR LC500 TAKES SUPER GT POLE AT BURIRAM

The qualifying for the Chang SUPER GT RACE, Round 4 of the 2019 AUTOBACS SUPER GT series, took place on June 29 at the Chang International Circuit (one lap 4,554m) in Buriram, Thailand. The GT500 class pole position winner was the No. 6 WAKO’S 4CR LC500 driven by Kazuya Oshima and Kenta Yamashita with a course record of 1’23.260 by Yamashita. In the GT300 class, the class pole position went to the No. 25 HOPPY 86 MC driven by Takamitsu Matsui and Kimiya Sato, also in a course record time by Matsui. With this, these two cars will start from the front position on their respective class starting grids in the race on June 30.

PORSCHE GB JUNIOR HARPER LAYS DOWN MARKER AFTER DOMINANT OULTON PARK CARRERA CUP GB QUALIFYING

18-year-old Porsche GB 2018 / 2019 Junior Dan Harper (JTR) took the sixth pole position of his Porsche Carrera Cup GB career at Oulton Park. Harper was involved in a hard-fought battle for a front row starting spot with George Gamble (Amigos Redline Racing), Lewis Plato (Motorbase Performance) and returnee Tom Wrigley (Rob Boston Racing). The top Rookie was Tom Roche (Rob Boston Racing) who qualified an impressive fourth, but championship contender Josh Webster (Team Parker Racing) will be a driver to watch at the start of round seven as he starts from the third row of the grid.

CETILAR RACING, AF CORSE JOIN FORCES FOR FIA WORLD ENDURANCE CAMPAIGN

The 87th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in which team Cetilar Racing made its third participation at the La Sarthe race, marked a halfway point for the Italian team as it is all set for the new FIA World Endurance Championship challenge, fielding a new LMP2 powered-Gibson Dallara LMP2 car in the 2019-2020 season.
