Team Cetilar Racing celebrated the best qualifying performance to date in the FIA WEC, as Giorgio Sernagiotto and Andrea Belicchi set the average sixth time of the LMP2 category in the 4 Hours of Shanghai qualifying, early this morning.

The second pole position at the third round for the new Porsche 911 RSR: Kévin Estre (France) and Michael Christensen (Denmark) beat the competition in the qualifying on Saturday on the 5.451-kilometre Shanghai International Circuit with a fabulous combined time of 1:59.579 minutes. At round three of the 2019/20 FIA World Endurance Championship in China, the identical 515 hp sister car driven by Gianmaria Bruni (Italy) and Richard Lietz (Austria) heads into the four-hour race from position six on Sunday.

Sandown provided just about everything during the opening day of action for the Australian GT season finale – challenging weather, an interrupted qualifying session, and a very condensed opening race all serving to test the title contenders, but once the action was over, there was a familiar face back in victory lane – Peter Hackett carding his third consecutive race win at Sandown to keep himself right in the title fight heading into the final two races of the year.

After the first two rounds of the season at Silverstone and Fuji, team Cetilar Racing is set for the third out of eight FIA WEC races at Shanghai this coming weekend, 8th/9th/10th November.

After some outstanding racing across the 2019 season of Australian GT, the championship comes to its conclusion at Melbourne’s Sandown Park Raceway alongside Supercars this weekend with the promise of an epic battle for the multiple titles on offer.

Founded on a passion for historic racing, Era Motorsport will take on a new challenge for 2020, joining the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in a partnership with DragonSpeed for the Rolex 24 at Daytona. Led by Grand-AM and IMSA veteran driver Kyle Tilley, the team will race an Oreca 07 Gibson in the IMSA LMP2 class.

Porsche aims to defend its lead in the manufacturers’ classification of the FIA World Endurance Championship at round three of the season.
