As the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America season concluded Friday evening at Sebring International Raceway, Change Racing rode off into the sunset with all the championship hardware.

The Porsche customer team Wright Motorsports has secured pole position in the GTD class for the twelve-hour race at Sebring. The squad from the US state of Ohio has laid excellent foundations in the open fight for the championship title. Heading to the finale of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the gap to the top in the overall classification is just seven points. In the faster GTLM category, the two ca. 515 hp Porsche 911 RSR fielded by the factory team start from positions five and six.

The Konica Minolta Cadillac DPi-V.R will start the season finale IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Twelve Hours of Sebring on the front row in second.

The Porsche GT Team has secured a very strong starting position in the qualifying for the final round of the FIA World Endurance Championship WEC in Bahrain: The two ca. 515 hp Porsche 911 RSR take up the eight-hour race on Saturday from pole position and the second grid row of the GTE Pro category. Denmark’s Michael Christensen and Kévin Estre from France claimed the first grid spot in their class with an average time of 1:56.505 minutes. This result was determined by the fastest lap of both drivers. Setting a time of 1:57.124 minutes, their teammates Richard Lietz (Austria) and Gianmaria Bruni (Italy) concluded the final 20-minute session on fourth place.

GT World Champion manufacturer Aston Martin has qualified on the front row for the 8 Hours of Bahrain FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and taken pole position in the GTE Am class ahead of the crucial season finale.

The No. 48 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO from Paul Miller Racing has qualified for tomorrow’s 68th Annual Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring.

Cooper MacNeil (Hinsdale, Ill.), Alessandro Balzan (Italy), and Jeff Westphal (San Mateo, Calif.) will start the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season finale Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Advance Auto Parts from fifth in GTD.

Befitting of the season-long close competition, two Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America class championships will be decided in the final race of the year following the first of the two races today at Sebring International Raceway.

BMW Team RLL qualified a strong second and third for tomorrow’s Twelve Hours of Sebring, the final race of the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season. With a lap of 1:56116-minutes around the 3.74-mile, 17-turn Sebring International Raceway, Connor De Phillippi qualified the No. 25 MOTUL BMW M8 GTE on the outside of the GTLM class front row. De Phillippi will co-drive with Bruno Spengler and Colton Herta. Jesse Krohn qualified the No. 24 MOTUL BMW M8 GTE in the third starting position with a lap time of 1:56.316-minutes. He will co-drive with John Edwards and Augusto Farfus. The BMWs qualified within .660 and .860 seconds respectively of the polesitting Corvette C8.R.

An exciting and competitive Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America championship heads for its 2020 conclusion this week with a pair of 50-minute races at the historic Sebring International Raceway road course.

PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports is set and ready to face the last round of the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, the 68th Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring to be held this weekend at the Sebring International Raceway.

The 2020 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe season will draw to a close this weekend at the Circuit Paul Ricard in the south of France, with the Pro and Am titles set to be decided across two 50-minute races.

BMW Team RLL will close the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at this Saturday’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. With the GTLM class title decided in the last round, BMW has its focus set on a strong runner-up finish in the championship standings as well as winning the Michelin Endurance Cup title. Regardless of the ultimate outcome, the third season of IMSA competition for the BMW M8 GTE has been an outstanding one with a total of nine podium finishes, including victories at the Rolex 24 At Daytona and the six-hour Grand Prix at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe heads this weekend to the Circuit of Paul Ricard for the fifth and last round of the season. Oregon Team aims at the Pro title with the front runner Kevin Gilardoni who will be pairing again by Dorian Boccolacci, after the Frenchman missed the most recent event at Spa-Francorchamps. 

Porsche aims to conclude the debut season of the new Porsche 911 RSR with a win. At the eight-hour race in Bahrain, which marks the final round of the 2019/2020 FIA WEC season, the factory squad will again field two ca. 515 hp vehicles in the GTE-Pro class. In the GTE-Am class, three customer squads campaign a total of five Porsche 911 RSR in last year’s spec. The race on the Formula 1 circuit in Sakhir is the second Bahrain event this season. At the first outing in December 2019, Porsche locked out the first grid row with its two vehicles, led the field, but ultimately was unable to reap the rewards of their good work at the finish line.

The No. 48 Paul Miller Racing team will be chasing their first Michelin Endurance Cup this weekend as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship completes the 2020 season at the iconic 12 Hours of Sebring.

The 2020 race season is nearing a close for K-PAX Racing, but the team’s final stop November 13-15 at Circuit Paul Ricard (Fra.) – coincidentally its first look at overseas competition within GT World Challenge Powered by AWS Endurance Cup – does not come without milestones. While the team had one previous experience in overseas endurance racing, this season marked the team’s first full campaign, which included an abbreviated season of four rounds in its series’ debut.

World GT Manufacturers’ champions Aston Martin embark on the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) finale – the 8 Hours of Bahrain – this weekend, aiming to record a level of title glory unprecedented in the British luxury sportscar brand’s history. Aston Martin has enjoyed its most successful endurance racing season since 1959, with the turbo-charged 4-litre V8 Vantage GTE.

Whelen Engineering Racing drivers Pipo Derani (Brazil) and Felipe Nasr (Brazil) look to capture the team’s third straight win at Sebring International Raceway this weekend, as part of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Advance Auto Parts Nov. 12 – 14.

The grand finale of the 2020 ADAC GT Masters last weekend did not have the triumphant ending that GRT Grasser Racing had been hoping for. For the last stop on the itinerary of this year’s Super Sports Car League, the team travelled to Oschersleben near Magdeburg. But the Austrian outfit was once again out of luck. Despite strong pace, the three Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVOs were unable to muster a single top result between them from two problematic races. Tim Zimmermann’s title win in the Junior classification shone the only ray of light on a frustrating weekend.
