Scotland’s Finlay Hutchison produced a strong performance at the Nurburgring in Germany on Sunday, 6th September, en-route to a hard-earned top four Silver Cup finish during the six-hour second round of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup.

British Racing Drivers’ Club ‘Rising Star’ Stuart Middleton claimed his third outright podium of the 2020 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America season at Road Atlanta in Georgia over the weekend, 5th/6th September, with a top three finish in round five of the campaign.

Team Parker Racing travelled to the Nürburgring with its Bentley Continental GT3 for round two of the GT World Challenge Endurance Cup at the weekend (September 4-6), but contact from another car in the opening laps cost any chance of a good result.

Alex MacDowall celebrated his second Silver Cup podium finish in as many GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup races during round two of the season at Germany’s Nurburgring on Sunday, 6th September, with a hard-earned second place in the action-packed six-hour encounter.

Change Racing came to race in the second half of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America doubleheader at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, fielding winners in all four classes Sunday. The race saw several highs and lows for the No. 57 Heinricher Racing with Meyer Shank Racing squad on Saturday. The six-hour endurance event brought together Misha Goikhberg, Alvaro Parente and Trent Hindman who fought through early damage to the race car to bring home a seventh-place result at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

It was the first endurance race in eight months for Mario Farnbacher, Matt McMurry and Shinya Michimi, but the strength of the Meyer Shank Racing-prepared Acura NSX GT3 did not disappoint as the team claimed its first victory of the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech season on Saturday at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. The win is the sixth for MSR in IMSA competition with the Acura NSX since first moving to the category with the GTD platform in 2017.

For a third consecutive IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race weekend, BMW Team RLL performed at a podium level. GPX Racing will lead a Porsche one-two at the start of tomorrow’s six-hour GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS contest at the Nürburgring after narrowly beating Dinamic Motorsport in a highly competitive qualifying session.

Bonaldi Motorsport’s Dean Stoneman and Kikko Galbiati claimed victory in the first Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe race of the weekend at the Nürburgring, beating Target Competition’s Miloš Pavlović and Raul Guzman by just over four seconds. It was Stoneman’s second win in succession this year after his Race 2 victory in the opening round at Misano, while Galbiati secured yet another triumph at the German circuit following his double victory for Imperiale Racing in 2019.

Lluc Ibanez and Xavier Lloveras gave NM Racing Team victory in the first GT4 European Series race at Nürburgring, claiming their second victory of the 2020 season. Victory in Pro-Am went to Allied Racing, while AGS Events won the Am class.
