LEXUS AND AIM VASSER SULLIVAN CONCLUDE SUCCESSFUL 2020 SEASON

Lexus and AIM VASSER SULLIVAN (AVS) closed out the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season at Sebring International Raceway on Saturday evening. The Twelve Hours of Sebring didn’t go as planned as both AVS Lexus RC F GT3s were damaged after sliding in oil on the race track while running first and second in the GTD class.

K-PAX RACING COMPLETES GT WORLD CHALLENGE EUROPE SEASON

The 2020 GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Endurance Cup season was one that initially begged patience to K-PAX Racing following an early-departure from Circuit Paul Ricard in March amid travel bans imposed under a global pandemic. The team, having three top-10 finishes to its credit since in the series, was able to make its return back to South France Sunday, making tracks at its fourth European track this season to a 13th-place finish – putting an exclamation point on a unique season of perseverance and hard work in the team’s challenging debut season.

B-QUIK ABSOLUTE RACING RETAINS TSS SUPER CAR GT3 DRIVERS’ AND TEAMS’ TITLES

A fairytale conclusion to the truncated Thailand Super Series season for B-Quik Absolute Racing at Buriram’s Chang International Circuit yesterday as the team retained the Super Car GT3 Drivers’ and Teams’ titles at the very last gasp.

2021 LAMBORGHINI SUPER TROFEO EUROPE, NORTH AMERICA AND ASIA CALENDARS UNVEILED

Lamborghini has unveiled the race calendars for its three Super Trofeo championships for the 2021 season. Running from April to October, the one-make category reserved for Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evos will be represented in Europe, North America and Asia, with the traditional end-of-year Lamborghini World Finals taking place at Misano Adriatico in Italy. Following its cancellation in 2020 after the outbreak of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, Super Trofeo Asia will make its return to the calendar next season with five rounds, while the World Finals remains at Misano, having been cancelled in 2020.

After securing its second IMSA championship, Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) looks forward to the 2021 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.

LAMBORGHINI SUPER TROFEO NORTH AMERICA PODIUM FINISH FOR MIDDLETON AT SEBRING

British Racing Drivers’ Club Rising Star Stuart Middleton produced an outstandingly tenacious performance during the final event of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America season at Sebring International Raceway on Friday, 13th November, to secure another overall podium.

WHELEN ENGINEERING RACING FINISHES SIXTH IN 68th TWELVE HOURS OF SEBRING

Whelen Engineering drivers Pipo Derani (Brazil), Felipe Nasr (Brazil) and Gabby Chaves (Columbia) finished sixth in yesterday’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring at Sebring International Raceway.

MERCEDES-AMG MOTORSPORT SECURES MANUFACTURERS’ AND DRIVERS’ TITLE IN GT WORLD CHALLENGE EUROPE SEASON FINALE

Mercedes-AMG Motorsport claims the overall title in the 2020 GT World Challenge Europe with Timur Boguslavskiy (RUS) of the Mercedes-AMG Team AKKA ASP, teammate Raffaele Marciello (ITA) follows in third place. The manufacturers’ title also goes to Mercedes-AMG Motorsport. In the season finale, Mercedes-AMG Team HRT secured the best result of the day with the Mercedes-AMG GT3: Vincent Abril (MON), Maro Engel and Luca Stolz (both GER) finished in sixth place in the 6-hour race. In the overall Silver Cup standings, Ezequiel Perez Companc (ARG) and Madpanda Motorsport also secured the titles. This weekend, their Mercedes-AMG colleagues Sergei Afanasiev (RUS), Michele Beretta (ITA) and Hubert Haupt (GER) of Haupt Racing Team (#5) secured the best race result in this category, scoring a podium slot by finishing in third place.

PERFECT GT WORLD CHALLENGE EUROPE FINAL ROUND WIN FOR MACDOWALL AND BARWELL MOTORSPORT

Alex MacDowall produced one of the very best drives of his career during the final round of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup at Paul Ricard on Sunday, 15th November, to help secure a fantastic class race victory in the six-hour contest and wrap-up a sensational Silver Cup title triumph.

MEYER SHANK RACING BRINGS HOME SIXTH PLACE FINISH AT SEBRING

After twelve hard-fought hours of racing and leading laps at Sebring International Raceway the No. 57 Acura NSX GT3 of Misha Goikhberg, Trent Hindman and Joey Hand came home with a sixth place finish in Saturday’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. 

PAUL MILLER RACING CLINCHES IMSA ENDURANCE CUP

 It was a championship-winning weekend for the Paul Miller Racing team, with the No. 48 Total lubricants-backed Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO clinching the Michelin Endurance Cup.

STONEMAN CROWNED LAMBORGHINI SUPER TROFEO EUROPE CHAMPION AT PAUL RICARD

Leipert Motorsport’s Sebastian Balthasar and Noah Watt secured their maiden Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe win in the final race of the season at Paul Ricard, while Dean Stoneman (Bonaldi Motorsport) wrapped up the title with a second-place finish. Stoneman’s chief championship rival Kevin Gilardoni (Oregon Team) had been running ahead of Stoneman early in the race, but his title aspirations disappeared following a spin at Turn 2.

AF CORSE SECURES GT WORLD CHALLENGE EUROPE TITLE GLORY FOR FERRARI WITH PAUL RICARD 1000 km TRIUMPH

AF Corse claimed a sensational victory in today’s Circuit Paul Ricard 1000km to seal Ferrari’s maiden GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Endurance Cup titles. 

AGS EVENTS AND ALLIED-RACING CLINCH GT4 EUROPEAN SERIES TITLES AT PAUL RICARD

The GT4 European Series drivers’ and teams’ titles were all decided at Circuit Paul Ricard this weekend during the final round of the 2020 season. Silver Cup, Am Cup and the teams’ title went to AGS Events, with Allied-Racing winning the Pro-Am Cup this season. NM Racing Team concluded the season with a double victory in France.

HAWKEY AND GRAHAM CROWNED AS PORSCHE GB JUNIOR KING WINS AT CARRERA CUP GB CHAMPIONSHIP FINALE

Porsche Carrera Cup GB – the fastest single marque GT racing championship in the UK – returned to Kent for the championship finale, this time taking place on the short and challenging Brands Hatch Indy circuit. Lorcan Hanafin (JTR) emerged as the fastest driver following Friday’s two Free Practice sessions which took place in mixed conditions. Ryan Ratcliffe (Team Parker) entered the weekend with a slim mathematical chance of Pro-Am title glory, he ended Friday as the fastest driver in the category, Am was topped by newly crowned 2020 category champion Justin Sherwood (Team Parker Racing). 

TITLE WIN IN THE ENDURANCE CUP AND RUNNER-UP POSITIONS IN THE IMSA GTLM CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR BMW TEAM RLL

BMW Team RLL rounded off the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (IMSA) with a GTLM podium finish at the Twelve Hours of Sebring (USA). After 12 dramatic hours of racing, the #24 MOTUL BMW M8 GTE crossed the line in third place. At the season finale, BMW Team RLL secured the GTLM driver’s title in the Michelin Endurance Cup for John Edwards (USA) and Jesse Krohn (FIN) as well as first places in the team and manufacturer standings for this season’s four-race endurance competition. LAMBORGHINI CLINCHES IMSA ENDURANCE CUP GTD TITLES IN SEBRING 12 HOURS FINALE

Lamborghini secured a clean-sweep of the IMSA SportsCar Championship GT Daytona Michelin Endurance Cup titles courtesy of Paul Miller Racing at the season-closing Sebring 12 Hours. The Michelin Endurance Cup comprises of four rounds across the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season with a total of 52 hours of racing. The Endurance Cup began at the 24 Hours of Daytona before heading to Road Atlanta for the Petit Le Mans, with the 68th running of the Sebring 12 Hours completing the year.

PORSCHE SCORES ONE-TWO VICTORY AT SEBRING, WRIGHT MOTORSPORTS TAKES CLASS WIN

The Porsche GT Team has achieved maximum success at its final outing in the GTLM class of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. In the highly dramatic twelve-hour race in Sebring, Britain’s Nick Tandy, Frédéric Makowiecki from France and Earl Bamber scored a victory with the No. 911 Porsche 911 RSR. The New Zealander celebrated twice after also clinching second place in the No. 912 car, which he shared with his teammates Laurens Vanthoor from Belgium and Neel Jani from Switzerland. After contesting a total of 75 races since 2014, the North American Porsche works team has achieved 21 wins and 56 podium results. In the GTD class, the customer team Wright Motorsports took first place with the Porsche 911 GT3 R.

WEATHERTECH RACING FINISHES FOURTH AT SEBRING

Cooper MacNeil (Hinsdale, Ill.), Alessandro Balzan (Italy), and Jeff Westphal (San Mateo, Calif.) finished fourth today in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Advance Auto Parts season finale.

CADILLAC WINS IMSA DPi ENDURANCE CUP

Cadillac won the 2020 IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup today with the No. 85 JDC-Miller Motorsports Cadillac DPi-V.R the top finishing car for the brand at the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.
