HEINRICHER RACING BATTLES BACK FROM EARLY DAMAGE TO FINISH SEVENTH AT ROAD ATLANTA

The race saw several highs and lows for the No. 57 Heinricher Racing with Meyer Shank Racing squad on Saturday. The six-hour endurance event brought together Misha Goikhberg, Alvaro Parente and Trent Hindman who fought through early damage to the race car to bring home a seventh-place result at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

MEYER SHANK RACING VICTORIOUS AT ROAD ATLANTA

It was the first endurance race in eight months for Mario Farnbacher, Matt McMurry and Shinya Michimi, but the strength of the Meyer Shank Racing-prepared Acura NSX GT3 did not disappoint as the team claimed its first victory of the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech season on Saturday at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. The win is the sixth for MSR in IMSA competition with the Acura NSX since first moving to the category with the GTD platform in 2017.

WHELEN ENGINEERING RACING CADILLAC FINISHED THIRD AT ROAD ATLANTA

The Whelen Engineering Cadillac team finished third in today’s running of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

BMW TEAM RLL BACK ON TOP WITH VICTORY AND DOUBLE-PODIUM FINISH AT ROAD ATLANTA

For a third consecutive IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race weekend, BMW Team RLL performed at a podium level. The No. 25 MOTUL BMW M8 GTE of Connor De Phillippi and Bruno Spengler took top honours at the race, held at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. The No. 24 MOTUL BMW M8 GTE of John Edwards and Jesse Krohn finished third.

Bonaldi Motorsport’s Dean Stoneman and Kikko Galbiati claimed victory in the first Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe race of the weekend at the Nürburgring, beating Target Competition’s Miloš Pavlović and Raul Guzman by just over four seconds. It was Stoneman’s second win in succession this year after his Race 2 victory in the opening round at Misano, while Galbiati secured yet another triumph at the German circuit following his double victory for Imperiale Racing in 2019.

Driving the No. 911 Porsche 911 RSR, Nick Tandy from Great Britain turned the fastest lap in the GTLM class at Road Atlanta setting a time of 1:16.167 minutes. His works driver teammate Laurens Vanthoor from Belgium planted the second works-RSR with the number 912 on position four.
