KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) will take on the Nordschleife for the first time in 2021 on March 27 as their preparation for the Nürburgring 24 Hours gets underway. The team is set to compete at the opening round of the 2021 Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS) this weekend, their first of a selection of events in the NLS season ahead of their third appearance at the famously challenging endurance race.
The first of nine rounds kicks off the season of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) this Saturday (27thMarch). The NLS rounds are regular fixtures on Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing’s competition calendar and, next to the goal of winning as many races at the Nordschleife as possible, also traditionally serve as preparation for the season highlight that is the ADAC TOTAL 24h-Rennen. This year, at least three teams with the Mercedes-AMG GT3 will be facing this challenge: GetSpeed Performance, Haupt Racing Team and 10Q Racing Team. In the process, two Mercedes-AMG GT3s each from GetSpeed and HRT will be competing in the Nürburgring season with extended support from Affalterbach. The strong driver line-up includes many well-known and long-standing Mercedes-AMG Drivers as well as, among others, four former winners of the 24-hour race.
Ferrari North Europe has confirmed that the Ferrari Challenge UK 2021 season will start at Brands Hatch on 14-16 May as originally planned. The racing activities will take place on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit on 14 & 15 May, and on the fabled Brand Hatch F1 GP circuit on Sunday 16 May as in 2020.
In their first attempt at the Twelve Hours of Sebring, Era Motorsport earned a second-place finish on Saturday in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship event. The No. 18 Oreca of Kyle Tilley, Dwight Merriman, and Ryan Dalziel started third and endured a long twelve hours of racing to earn the coveted podium position, two months after celebrating victory at the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

BMW Team RLL has claimed a double podium at the Twelve Hours of Sebring (USA). After 333 eventful laps of racing, the #25 MOTUL BMW M8 GTE, driven by Connor De Phillippi (USA), Bruno Spengler (CAN) and Philipp Eng (AUT), crossed the line second in the GTLM class. John Edwards (USA), Jesse Krohn (FIN) and Augusto Farfus (BRA) completed the podium with third place in the #24 MOTUL BMW M8 GTE. BMW Team RLL will start tomorrow’s IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Twelve Hours of Sebring from the second row of the GTLM grid following third and fourth place qualifying efforts from Connor De Phillippi and Jesse Krohn this afternoon. De Phillippi qualified the No. 25 MOTUL BMW M8 GTE third with a time of 1:55.062 minutes around the Sebring International Raceway, 0.219 seconds ahead of Jesse Krohn’s 1:55.251-minute lap in the No. 24 MOTUL BMW M8 GTE. Both BMWs were within only 0.317 seconds of the pole-winning Corvette. De Phillippi will co-drive with Bruno Spengler and Philipp Eng tomorrow, while Krohn will share the No. 24 M8 with John Edwards and Augusto Farfus.
