Montaplast by Land-Motorsport has a new look: Christian and Wolfgang Land’s racing team lines up with a bright yellow Audi R8 LMS in the ADAC GT Masters for the first time. The mid-engine sports car with the “snake design” of new sponsors Mann-Filter will be driven by Audi Sport driver Christopher Haase (33/Kulmbach) and newcomer Luca-Sandro Trefz (19/Wüstenrot). Oschersleben hosts the opening round of this season’s ADAC GT Masters from 14th to 16th May.

BMW Junior Team ace Daniel Harper unfortunately saw his planned debut race in his new BMW M6 GT3 car cancelled on Saturday (27th March) due to heavy snowfall on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS has revealed its full-season entry lists for the coming season, which will feature a significantly expanded Sprint Cup grid and continuity for the Endurance Cup. 

Dundee racing driver Finlay Hutchison is set for his most exciting, and arguably most high-profile, season yet after this morning confirming he has joined top Audi Sport squad Sainteloc Racing for the 2021 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup and Intercontinental GT Challenge.  

2021 is the final year in the development phase of the BMW M4 GT3, due to do battle for wins and titles in GT races around the world for BMW M Motorsport teams as of 2022. The new flagship in the BMW M Motorsport portfolio of cars has been taking part in testing weeks at the Spanish racetracks of Monteblanco and Almeria since the start of the year and in doing so has rung in the crucial stage ahead of the initial race appearances. Covering more than 12,000 kilometres already – which equates to more than 60 hours on the track – numerous BMW drivers have worked extremely hard on drivability and reliability, the objective being to significantly reduce the lifecycle costs and maintenance effort compared with the predecessor model. The close collaboration between BMW M Motorsport and the series developers at BMW M GmbH, as well as making use of the BMW Group’s testing facilities, both make an important contribution to the progress of the BMW M4 GT3.

KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) will take on the Nordschleife for the first time in 2021 on March 27 as their preparation for the Nürburgring 24 Hours gets underway. The team is set to compete at the opening round of the 2021 Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS) this weekend, their first of a selection of events in the NLS season ahead of their third appearance at the famously challenging endurance race.

Brands Hatch will stage its rescheduled Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS event on 28/29 August. 

The first of nine rounds kicks off the season of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) this Saturday (27thMarch). The NLS rounds are regular fixtures on Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing’s competition calendar and, next to the goal of winning as many races at the Nordschleife as possible, also traditionally serve as preparation for the season highlight that is the ADAC TOTAL 24h-Rennen. This year, at least three teams with the Mercedes-AMG GT3 will be facing this challenge: GetSpeed Performance, Haupt Racing Team and 10Q Racing Team. In the process, two Mercedes-AMG GT3s each from GetSpeed and HRT will be competing in the Nürburgring season with extended support from Affalterbach. The strong driver line-up includes many well-known and long-standing Mercedes-AMG Drivers as well as, among others, four former winners of the 24-hour race.

Ferrari North Europe has confirmed that the Ferrari Challenge UK 2021 season will start at Brands Hatch on 14-16 May as originally planned. The racing activities will take place on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit on 14 & 15 May, and on the fabled Brand Hatch F1 GP circuit on Sunday 16 May as in 2020.

In their first attempt at the Twelve Hours of Sebring, Era Motorsport earned a second-place finish on Saturday in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship event. The No. 18 Oreca of Kyle Tilley, Dwight Merriman, and Ryan Dalziel started third and endured a long twelve hours of racing to earn the coveted podium position, two months after celebrating victory at the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 recorded its second international podium finish of 2021 as partner team Heart of Racing recorded a brilliant third place in the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring on Saturday evening. It was also the second time in a row that the Seattle-based team had finished on the podium at the Florida venue.

Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) drivers Dane Cameron, Olivier Pla and Juan Pablo Montoya raced to a hard-fought third place finish in the 69th annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring on Saturday.

Performance Tech Motorsports was forced to retire from the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Presented by Advanced Autoparts after starting the race from pole position.

BMW Team RLL has claimed a double podium at the Twelve Hours of Sebring (USA). After 333 eventful laps of racing, the #25 MOTUL BMW M8 GTE, driven by Connor De Phillippi (USA), Bruno Spengler (CAN) and Philipp Eng (AUT), crossed the line second in the GTLM class. John Edwards (USA), Jesse Krohn (FIN) and Augusto Farfus (BRA) completed the podium with third place in the #24 MOTUL BMW M8 GTE. The classic race in the US state of Florida was the second major endurance event of the season in North America.

Cooper MacNeil (Hindsdale, Ill.), Matt Campbell (Australia), and Mathieu Jaminet (France) won the IMSA WeatherTech Championship GTLM Class in today’s running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.

The Total lubricants-backed Paul Miller Racing team has notched a sixth-place start for the 69th annual 12 Hours of Sebring in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s all-new GTD qualifying format.

Cooper MacNeil (Hindsdale, Ill.), Matt Campbell (Australia), and Mathieu Jaminet (France) will start from the third row in GTLM for tomorrow’s 69th running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.
