Excitement swirled at the Lausitzring as the second weekend of the DTM season came to a close, with Liam Lawson’s Ferrari taking second place and Alex Albon’s eleventh.

Under these circumstances, it is no longer to hold the fourth race weekend of the German GT Championship at the Nürburgring at the start of August, as was originally planned. An alternative date or venue are currently being assessed and will be announced shortly.

GRT Grasser Racing headed to a very special circuit in the USA last weekend to contest the fourth round in the Sprint Cup of the 2021 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar championship. The venue was Lime Rock Park in the state of Connecticut, which is recognized as a place of historic importance. Once again, Lamborghini works driver Franck Perera and IMSA specialist Misha Goikhberg clearly demonstrated the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO’s strong pace in the American sports car championship at the Northeast Grand Prix. However, they had to settle for seventh place despite posting the fastest race lap. Bad weather led to the race being stopped before it had run its course.
Porsche has won the Monza round of the FIA World Endurance Championship. Kévin Estre from France and Neel Jani from Switzerland crossed the finish line first in the fiercely contested GTE-Pro class at the wheel of the No. 92 Porsche 911 RSR on Italy’s high-speed circuit. For the works driver duo, this was the second win from the third race so far this season after their triumph at the opening round in Belgium. Gianmaria Bruni from Italy and the Austrian Richard Lietz concluded the gripping six-hour race on the home turf of their main rival Ferrari in third place. As the best customer team, Project 1 scored fourth place in the GTE-Am category with the No. 56 Porsche 911 RSR.
