A quartet of Porsche privateer race teams look to continue the German marque’s success on the great stages of North American endurance racing. This upcoming weekend at one of the United States’ most historic road courses, WeatherTech Racing, Team Hardpoint EBM, Pfaff Motorsports and Wright Motorsports each bring a class-specific Porsche 911-based race car (911 RSR-19 or 911 GT3 R) to the third of the four major IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship endurance races of the season. Watkins Glen International will host the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen on June 27. Porsche currently holds the lead in the GTD class Manufacturers Point Standings for the Michelin Endurance Cup after two rounds.

BMW Team RLL is ready for the third endurance race of the 2021 season, the Six Hours of the Glen at Watkins Glen (USA) this coming Sunday, 27th June. As they look to defend the 2020 GTLM class Michelin Endurance Cup title, the team has already scored three podium results with its MOTUL BMW M8 GTEs in the first two races of the year. A third-place finish at the Rolex 24 At Daytona (USA) to start the season was followed by a double-podium (second and third places) at the 12 Hours of Sebring (USA) in March. BMW Team RLL now aims to continue this podium streak, in the final season of competition of the BMW M8 GTE, at Watkins Glen.

Audi Sport customer racing made a furious start to the new DTM season with the R8 LMS. Kelvin van der Linde won at the opening weekend at Monza ahead of Nico Müller. In the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS, Dries Vanthoor/Charles Weerts remain championship leaders while Gregory Guilvert/Fabien Michal extended their lead in the GT4 European Series. The Audi RS 3 LMS completes an outstanding weekend record with victories in five championships.
A successful weekend with important points and most of all more progress for Trivellato Racing by Villorba Corse at Zandvoort. The Dutch circuit hosted the third round of the 2021 GT4 European Series where the Italian team took action with its two Mercedes-AMG GT4 and four young drivers getting its best results of the season, especially with British GT4 champion Jamie Caroline and his Swiss teammate Jean Luc D’Auria on the #70 car. On track with 38 cars, Trivellato’s crew was protagonist in both races, always pushing hard and also keeping a solid pace. Their performances and Caroline’s brilliant overtakings in the second part of race 1 brought to gain many positions, finishing ninth overall and seventh in class (Silver Cup).
Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) heads to Watkins Glen International for back-to-back race weekends at the upstate New York circuit. The No. 60 Acura ARX-05 DPi of Dane Cameron and Olivier Pla will first race in the annual Sahlen’s Six Hours of Watkins Glen on Sunday.
United Autosports had a challenging weekend during round three of the GT4 European Series at Zandvoort this weekend as the team returned to the Dutch track for the first time since 2013.
Oregon Team’s Kevin Gilardoni and Leonardo Pulcini recorded their third Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe victory in six races following a calculated drive in the second race of the weekend at Zandvoort. The #11 Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo started third on the grid but made a decisive pass on eventual second place finisher Sebastian Balthasar (#2 Leipert Motorsport) on the first lap to gain the upper-hand either side of the mandatory pit-stops.
Emil Frey Racing completed a perfect performance at Zandvoort by taking victory in the weekend’s second Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Sprint Cup contest with its #163 Lamborghini.
Mercedes-AMG Motorsport enjoyed a successful return to the series in the DTM season opener at Monza in Italy. In the first of the two sprint races, Vincent Abril (MCO) and Maximilian Götz (GER) with the Mercedes-AMG GT3s of Mercedes-AMG Team HRT finished in second and third place and therefore secured podium results on the comeback. With third place in the Sunday race, Lucas Auer (AUT) added another podium result with the car with starting number 22 run by Mercedes-AMG Team WINWARD.
Emil Frey Racing Lamborghini scored a dominant win in the first of this weekend’s Sprint Cup contests at Zandvoort thanks to a faultless drive from its all-Swiss crew of Ricardo Feller and Alex Fontana.

The new flagship in the BMW M Motorsport programme is set for its premiere on the famous ‘Eau Rouge’. As part of the development work, the BMW M4 GT3 will attend the official tests ahead of the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps (BEL). The ‘Official Test Days’ take place at the circuit in the Ardennes on 22nd and 23rd June. Just a few days later, the new BMW M4 GT3 will complete its first test under race conditions on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife (GER).
