The GT4 European Series Silver and Pro-Am titles will be decided in tomorrow’s final race of the season after a very exciting first race at the Nürburgring today. Beitske Visser and Nico Menzel (#110 RN Vision STS BMW M4 GT4) capped a perfect race with their second victory of the season. The final race promises to be a thriller, with the HHC Motorsport and MDM Motorsport drivers level on points at the top after today’s race. Markus Lungstrass took a major step towards the Pro-Am championship title by winning his class, while Niki Leutwiler became the first driver to seal the title in the Am category.
Fourth success for Vito Postiglione and Karol Basz, who won the first of the two races of the fifth round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe at the Nürburgring. The duo of the Imperiale Racing team, who had jumped to the top of the PRO classification during the previous round held at Spa, thus consolidated their leadership in the championship. In the Lamborghini Cup, the Thai Supachai Weeraborwornpong (Team Lazarus) returned to the top step of the podium, from where he had been missing since the first race at Monza.

The GRT Grasser Racing Team has unfortunately lost its victory in the Blancpain GT Series Race 1 at the Nürburgring due to a drive-through penalty of 30 seconds for car #63.
Audi customers have claimed championship titles in all categories entered at the Circuit Hero One series in Zhuhai, China. After finishing third in Saturday’s round five, Julio Acosta of JY Racing was crowned Circuit Hero One GT3 champion, finishing the season with an unbroken podium run.
The qualifying for the “SUGO GT 300km RACE,” Round 4 of the 2018 AUTOBACS SUPER GT, was held at Sportsland SUGO (one lap: 3,704 m) in Miyagi Prefecture on October 15. In the GT500 class qualifying, the No. 100 RAYBRIG NSX-GT driven by Naoki Yamamoto and Jenson Button won pole position (1st qualifier). In the GT300 class, the No. 61 SUBARU BRZ R&D SPORT driven by Takuto Iguchi and Hideki Yamauchi won the class pole.
Dino Zamparelli (Redline Racing) overcame intense competition to claim pole position in qualifying for Round Thirteen of the Carrera Cup GB championship at Silverstone. In a quick-fire exchange of fastest lap times towards the end of the session, Zamparelli, Tio Ellinas (Slidesports Engineering) and 17-year-old Porsche GB 2018 / 2019 Junior, Dan Harper, ended Saturday’s qualifying separated by just 0.060s. Championship rivals Zamparelli and Ellinas will share the front row for the first of tomorrow’s races on a weekend that will prove pivotal in their pursuit of title glory.
The fastest single marque GT racing championship in the UK, the Porsche Carrera Cup GB, will continue to evolve for 2019 following a programme of feedback and collaboration with teams, drivers and sponsors.
As the Porsche Carrera Cup GB entered its penultimate weekend, Lewis Plato (JTR) edged ahead in the morning and afternoon Practice sessions at Silverstone. Friday’s combined times saw the top four Pro category runners covered by just 0.086s, Plato lapped 0.046s quicker than championship leader Dino Zamparelli (Redline Racing) in P2. Zamparelli’s chief title rival Tio Ellinas (Slidesports Engineering) recorded the fifth quickest time of the day, lapping the fast Silverstone National circuit only 0.079s slower than Zamparelli.
The stage is set for the car and the team that BMW will enter in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship as of Season 5. On Friday, BMW i Motorsport presented the new BMW iFE.18 and the new BMW i Andretti Motorsport team at BMW Welt’s double cone in Munich (GER). The all-electric racing car impresses with a fascinating design, whereas the showpiece of the BMW iFE.18 – the innovative drivetrain – is hidden deep inside. The drivetrain was developed using the expertise of the same engineers that designed that of the BMW i3. BMW i and BMW Motorsport are working on the Formula E project in tandem, thereby facilitating a technology transfer between series development and motorsport unprecedented in this form. The two BMW iFE.18 cars, which will be in action for BMW i Andretti Motorsport in the Formula E races around the world as of December, will have the BMW works drivers António Félix da Costa (POR) and Alexander Sims (GBR) at the wheel.
The Monza round of the International GT Open, always a special event in the season, will see a stellar addition to the entry list, as the Honda NSX GT3 will make its debut in the series! Entered by Honda Racing Team JAS, one unit of the Japanese GT racer will be starring at the Autodromo in the hands of two top drivers, Esteban Guerrieri and Bertrand Baguette, who both are Honda factory drivers.

Jaguar Racing has unveiled the full race calendar for the inaugural Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY Championship. Up to 20 identical Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY racecars will line up on the grid on Saturday 15 December in Ad Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, for the first round of the new global electric production car racing series.
