The third race in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship produced a surprise winner: Alessio Lorandi (I) from the Volkswagen customer team Carlin. The 18-year-old youngster won the third race in Pau (F) from pole position. The 2.76-kilometre long race track in southwestern France proved to be challenging for the whole weekend.

Both Volkswagen Polo RX Supercars made it to the final of the third race in the FIA World Rallycross Championship in Mettet (B). Anton Marklund (S) completed the race in fourth place in his 600 HP Volkswagen Polo RX Supercar, just missing out on a podium finish. His team-mate Johan Kristoffersson (S) finished the final in sixth place.

Juncos Racing collected three podium finishes this past weekend in Rounds 5 and 6 of the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires in the Grand Prix of Indianapolis. Will Owen picked up two of the podiums, while teammate Jake Parsons earned his first podium finish since joining the Mazda Road to Indy series this year.

Juncos Racing returned to the podium this past weekend with American Kyle Kaiser picking up a third place finish in Round 7 of the Indy Lights Championship Presented by Cooper Tires in the Mazda Grand Prix of Indianapolis.

After bad weather plagued the opening round of the 2016 Canadian Karting Challenge, Race #2, set for May 29 at Innisfil Indy will be yet another chance for regional drivers to come out and showcase their driving skills on a very technical track, running Layout #1.

Already making waves in the world of sports car racing, M1 GT Racing adds to their program for the upcoming Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) event at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP). With already confirmed plans to run in the PWC Sprint-X program with drivers Walt Bowlin and Guy Cosmo, M1 GT Racing will run a second Audi R8 machine in Sprint-X with Canadian standout David Ostella, who will compete in his hometown event, and sportscar phenom driver Dion von Moltke.

ROK CUP USA has decided to allow all drivers to install a 170 degree camera on their kart during each race weekend. "Contour Roam3" has been chosen to be the official ROK CUP USA camera and can be place either in the front and/ or back of the kart.

CRG works team will be busy on track this coming weekend in Spain for the European Championship KZ, OK and OK Junior and in Italy for the Rotax Max Euro Challenge in the three categories DD2, Senior and Junior.

DAMS kicked off the 2016 GP2 Series superbly with victory for Alex Lynn and a maiden podium finish for team newcomer Nicholas Latifi at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain (May 13-15) to leave the team sitting at the top of the championship table.

It’s a very special feeling. Of course I didn’t expect to win; after the Mercedes pair crashed then you’re targeting a podium, but in the end to come out on top, it’s incredible. To hear the Dutch national anthem for the first time in Formula One, I have to think about my dad for sure and I heard he was crying, so yeah it’s unbelievable.

With Kevin king taking the first win of the season tomorrow. The regulars such as Bedard and Rzadzinski will be wanting to reimpose their race potential for the season as we know this will be a multiple driver battles, the cars are so closely matched that at this point it is anybodies game .

Making the short trek to the Arizona desert, P1 Engines was once again at the front of the field in Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) competition. With drivers littered in multiple classes, the California based company walked away with another national level victory in the X30 Junior division.

The eleven GP2 teams were greeted at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya with blue skies and warm weather for the opening round of the 2016 GP2 Series with air and track temperatures of 19° and 36° respectively for the morning 45 minute Free Practice session. Pirelli are supplying their P Zero Orange hard and P Zero Yellow soft tyres for this weekend.

It’s great to be back in Europe and to be back in Spain. It was a good start for us today with two good practice sessions. Times were looking good on the longer and also on the shorter stints. I feel very comfortable with the car with some new parts added and they seemed to have worked well.

Improving throughout the weekend, Eves was close to the front of the X30 Senior field but was lacking a little speed throughout Saturday's wheel-to-wheel competition.
