The Porsche Penske Motorsport works team heads to round two of the FIA World Endurance Championship WEC with high hopes. After the opening round in Sebring (USA), the team will compete with the new Porsche 963 for the first time on a European racetrack in Portugal. The hybrid prototype, which was built in accordance with the LMDh regulations, contests the Hypercar class in the WEC. Porsche customer teams fight for victory in the GTE-Am category with six 911 RSR.

This weekend finally sees the first moment of truth of the 2023 DTM. The Red Bull Ring in Austria will be the arena for the official test and media days on 15 and 16 April. All teams and drivers will have the opportunity to find the optimum tuning for their racing cars in competition conditions ahead of the season start at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben (26 – 28 May). Almost 13 hours of free practice in six sessions are scheduled over the two days. And fans are also getting a free ride: Admission is free, enabling spectators to follow the race action from the Steiermark Tribüne (Styria stand). Entrance to the paddock is also free, allowing a look behind the scenes, including autographs and selfies with the drivers.

Oman Racing’s Ahmad Al Harthy makes a welcome return to race action in Europe later this week as the FIA World Endurance Championship arrives in Portugal, for the hotly anticipated second round of the 2023 season – the 6 Hours of Portimao.

KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) is looking to convert its potential into a podium this weekend in the Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS), as it looks to build momentum ahead of next month’s Nürburgring 24 Hours.

The opening round of the 2023 Fanatec GT Europe season is just a week away, with Monza set to host a three-hour Endurance Cup race on 21-23 April. 

A three-hour endurance race at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza with its long heritage marks the start of the new Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS season on 23rd April. For the season-opening event in the north of Italy, the seven customer sport teams have set themselves high goals and want to confirm the successful achievement of the past year. In 2022, Mercedes-AMG Team AKKODIS ASP won the teams’ title in the Endurance and overall standings during the season finale in Barcelona. Already having won the overall championship, Raffaele Marciello (SUI) also secured the trophy for the best endurance racing driver.

Aston Martin’s multiple championship-winning Vantage returns to action in the world’s two most prestigious sportscar series – the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) and the North American-based IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship – this weekend, with four of AMR’s key partner teams all competing.

In the US state of California, the two factory hybrid prototypes in the GTP category face their first street course. Four Porsche customer teams take on the competition in the GTD-Pro and GTD classes with five Porsche 911 GT3 R.

With the first two endurance races of 2023 complete, the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship heads into its first of seven sprint races of the year, beginning with this weekend’s Grand Prix of Long Beach. In Saturday’s 100-minute race, the Wright Motorsports No. 77 Porsche 911 GT3 R, driven by Alan Brynjolfsson and Trent Hindman, will make its street-racing debut, as downtown Long Beach, California transforms from a waterfront city to a professional motor racing circuit.

Following a second place overall, and GTP class finish at the 12 Hours of Sebring on March 18th, BMW M Team RLL has now prepared both BMW M Hybrid V8 racing cars for the shortest race of the 2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar season. The April 15th, 100-minute Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach will be held on the 1.968-mile, 11-turn temporary circuit that sets a concrete-lined stage for an always challenging event.

The four-race and four-car effort brought the team three podium finishes, giving the team strong momentum heading into the next rounds at NOLA Motorsport Park, April 28-30.

The SRO America 2023 season began for Wright Motorsports last weekend at Sonoma Raceway. The Porsche customer team celebrated multiple visits to the podium including a win in the headlining series, the Fanatec GT World Challenge America Powered by AWS. Team veterans Charlie Luck and Jan Heylen concluded the weekend with two top-five finishes in their new No. 45 Porsche 911 GT3 R, while newcomers Adam Adelson and Elliott Skeer won the opening round, followed up by a third-place finish in the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R.

The ADAC GT Masters field is growing: Haupt Racing Team is the latest newcomer to the series and will field a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo. In Estonian Ralf Aron (24) and Switzerland’s Alain Valente (26), two talented youngsters line up for the team of Hubert Haupt, who adds the ADAC GT Masters to his DTM programme. The new ADAC GT Masters season gets underway on 10th June as part of the “Festival of Dreams” at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg.

Team Parker Racing is very pleased to announce that young Irish racer Robert Cronin and Welshman John White will race in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB for the 2023 season, part of a four-car line up as the series joins the ‘TOCA’ package full time.

Anthony Bartone (Miami, Fla.) drove the Bartone Bros Racing with RealTime Mercedes-AMG GT3 car to second place in yesterday’s GT America Powered by AWS race at Sonoma Raceway. The SRO Officials later awarded Bartone the win due to the Porsche, that crossed the line first, being disqualified for a post-race technical infraction.
