The B-Quik Co. Ltd TM (“B-Quik”) “Young Driver Programme” takes another step forward this weekend as we enter the “Toyota Motorsport” championship for the first time on the occasion of its high profile visit to Buriram’s Chang International Circuit.

Audi customer teams and drivers will be gunning for glory as the Blancpain GT Series Asia heads to Japan’s iconic Suzuka Circuit for rounds five and six this weekend. Six Audi R8 LMS GT3s are set to line up on the grid, as the teams relaunch their title tilts during the highly-anticipated double-header, which marks the halfway point of the 2018 season.

Three teams are fielding new-spec cars in the full 2018 Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup. Ahead of this year’s Total 24 Hours of Spa, we spoke to the team bosses who will oversee their efforts at the blue riband race.

AFS/PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports welcomes Will Owen to join Sebastian Saavedra and Gustavo Yacaman to take on the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen in the #52 Liger JS P217. The event marks the halfway point of the 2018 IMSA Weathertech SportsCar Championship, being the sixth round of the 12-race season.

The No. 31 Whelen Engineering Racing DPi-V.R will carry a new and unique look tied to the 4th of July celebrations as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship is set to stage a pair of back to back events, starting with the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen this Sunday. The Watkins Glen International race will be quickly followed by a trip north of the border for the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park round of IMSA WeatherTech action on July 8th.

Even though the team will sport a different look and different driver line up, Mustang Sampling Racing will still look for the same result this weekend as the team targets a third consecutive victory in the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen.

Following another appearance at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Corvette Racing is back on American soil as it returns to competition in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship this weekend at Watkins Glen International. The classic 3.4-mile, 11-turn road course in the Finger Lakes region of New York is a fitting stop for Corvette Racing, which is celebrating its 20th season of competition.

1. A Record of Success

As the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship reaches the halfway point in the 2018 season, the Tequila Patrón North American Endurance Cup resumes this weekend at Watkins Glen International. The Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen is the third race in the four races that make up the TPNAEC, an endurance championship within the existing calendar. While a win at Watkins Glen International has eluded Tequila Patrón ESM, the prototype team has dominated qualifying the last two years, earning pole positions in 2016 and 2017.

Following back-to-back Endurance events, the Blancpain GT Series returned to Sprint Cup competition last weekend with a pair of 60-minute contests at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. The #1 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT machine emerged victorious from both outings, though not before seeing off a severe challenge from AKKA ASP Team.

Drivex will enter a second Mercedes AMG GT3 for the remainder of the International GT Open season. Brazilian aces Ricardo Baptista and Carlos Eduardo “Cacá” Bueno will join Drivex to seek strong results in the remaining races at Hungaroring, Silverstone, Monza and Barcelona.

WeatherTech Racing drivers Cooper MacNeil (Hinsdale, Ill.), Jeff Segal (Miami, Fla.) and Gunnar Jeannette (Salt Lake City, Ut.) are ready to for six hours of IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship racing at this weekend’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen.

Cadillac V-Performance Racing teams Mustang Sampling Cadillac, Whelen Engineering Cadillac, Konica Minolta Cadillac and Spirit of Daytona Cadillac are headed to upstate New York for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, June 29-July 1.

During the first four races of the 2018 season, the BMW M8 GTE scored a second place finish at the 12 Hours of Sebring (USA) with the #25 car of Bill Auberlen (USA), Connor De Phillippi (USA) and Alexander Sims (GBR) after starting from De Phillippi’s first GTLM class pole. A second pole by Edwards in the #24 BMW M8 GTE and De Phillippi and Sims’ second place finish in the #25 BMW M8 GTE at the most recent race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (USA) in early May showed the programme’s continuing competitiveness.

TeamTGM returns to race action this weekend at the legendary Watkins Glen International for the four-hour Continental Tire 240 at The Glen. The race is Round 4 of the 2018 IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge season.
