With 16 years of experience to draw upon, Targa Newfoundland organizers are now relatively comfortable with the annual requirements and are now thinking ‘long-term’ in an effort to increase efficiency, not only for themselves, but for the competitors, the support staff, municipal partners, the volunteers, as well as potential and existing race sponsors.

Round 17, the finale of the 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series, will be the Grand Prix of Sonoma, September 14-16, at Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, CA.. The race will be broadcast live on NBCSN at 6:30 p.m. ET.  It is also available on radio: XM 209 and IMS IndyCar Radio as well as online: IndyCar.com and Verizon IndyCar 15 app.

Andrew McFadden, who along with Jeff Drimmie and Kevin Foisy make-up the Ontario Legends team of officials, says everyone will be looking to solidify their point positions as they head into the 2018 season finale at Peterborough Speedway’s Autumn Colours Classic.

Both drivers gained positions at the start with Fittipaldi moving up to 12th and Ferrucci 15th. After getting passed by his teammate on Lap 11, Fittipaldi headed to pit lane as the team elected to run a different pit stop strategy by pitting early.
