BMW M Motorsport engineers have obtained valuable basic data and sorted out any initial teething troubles. The result is a good basis on which to further intensify preparations of the car in the USA from September, ahead of the start of the season in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at Daytona (USA) in January 2023.

Edwards will co-drive with Connor De Phillippi, the duo looking for their first podium finish of the season.

A second pole by Edwards in the #24 BMW M8 GTE and De Phillippi and Sims’ second place finish in the #25 BMW M8 GTE at the most recent race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (USA) in early May showed the programme’s continuing competitiveness.
