GRT MAXIMISE THEIR POTENTIAL IN SATURDAY’S DTM RACE AT THE LAUSITZRING

The second stop of the DTM 2022 presented GRT with a tremendous challenge this Saturday. At the Lausitzring, the Austrian Lamborghini team not only had to master the infamous Turn 1. For both crews and drivers of the four Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVOs, the assessment of the Italian GT3 machine within the regulations also provided an increased level of difficulty. However, the team did not let the tricky task upset them in the first race this weekend. Mirko Bortolotti made the most of sixth place in the field of 29 GT3 cars.

TIM HEINEMANN WINS DTM TROPHY SEASON OPENER AT LAUSITZRING

Pole position, fastest race lap and victory: in the first race of the 2022 DTM Trophy, Tim Heinemann demonstrated his skills in an impressive way. The German, racing for the Toyota Gazoo Racing Germany powered by Ring Racing team in the talent pool on the DTM platform this year, left the opposition without a chance in the season-opening race at Lausitzring Turn 1 powered by Autohero.

Turn 1, with its light banking, is something special. A challenge for all, a breath-taking highlight for the fans. Lamborghini Squadra Corse is developing its first LMDh prototype, which will debut in 2024 in the FIA World Endurance Championship (Hypercar class) and the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship (GTP class). Since 2015, Lamborghini has been competing at the pinnacle of GT racing, celebrating more than 40 titles and some unique achievements: the triple GTD class win at the legendary 24 Hours at Daytona between 2018 and 2020 was the first time a manufacturer won three times in a row.
