PORSCHE SCORES TENTH STRAIGHT WEC POLE POSITION

The Porsche GT Team has locked out the first grid row with the two 911 RSR for the season-opening round of the FIA World Endurance Championship WEC. Works driver Michael Christensen turned the fastest qualifying lap in the GTE-Pro class for the 1,000-mile race on the Sebring International Raceway in the US state of Florida. The ca. 378 kW (515 PS) Porsche 911 RSR remains unbeaten after topping the timesheets in a WEC final qualifying session for the tenth time in a row. Christensen shares the No. 91 nine-eleven racer with Frenchman Kévin Estre. In the No. 91 sister car, Gianmaria Bruni posted the second quickest time just 0.15 seconds off the polesitter. This season, the Italian again joins forces with Richard Lietz from Austria. In the GTE-Am class, the American Brendan Iribe set the best time, planting the 911 RSR fielded by the Project 1 team on the third grid spot.

PETER KYLE- HENNEY MAKES PORSCHE CARRERA CUP GB RETURN WITH TORO VERDE GT

Toro Verde GT is very happy to announce that series regular Peter Kyle-Henney will be making his return to the Porsche Carrera Cup GB with the team for the 2022 season, after sitting out the past two seasons.

Porsche Carrera Cup North America Presented by the Cayman Islands qualifying for the season opening round is complete. Kelly-Moss Road and Race picked-up where it left-off last season earning the overall pole position for Round 1 at Sebring International Raceway with Kay van Berlo (Belgium) taking Pro honors and Pro-Am with 2021 class champion Efrin Castro (Dominican Republic). The new MDK Motorsports program guided Mark Kvamme (Columbus, Ohio) to the top spot in the Am class. The quickest laps for each class will lead the grid of 43 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup race cars to the green flag tomorrow, Thursday, March 17,  for the 40-minute Race 1 at 9:15 a.m. ET.

KCMG RETURN TO NÜRBURGRING 24 HOURS AND SELECTED NLS ROUNDS IN 2022

The 70th staging of the 12 Hours of Sebring (USA) this weekend represents the next endurance classic in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The BMW M Motorsport teams compete with a strong contingent of four new BMW M4 GT3s. BMW M Team RLL will field two cars in the GTD-PRO class. As well as Turner Motorsport, Paul Miller Racing will also run BMW M Motorsport’s new GT3 flagship in the GTD class.

ERA MOTORSPORT SEEKS CONTINUED SUCCESS AT SEBRING

IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship LMP2 class team Era Motorsport heads to Sebring International Raceway for the legendary Twelve Hours of Sebring, the second round in the 2022 championship. The Era Motorsport trio of Dwight Merriman, Ryan Dalziel, and Kyle Tilley will again pilot the No. 18 Oreca LPM2 car, eager to return to the podium and better last year’s second-place finish.

Following a monumental race win at the prestigious Rolex 24 At Daytona, this weekend Wright Motorsports heads into the next round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship: the Twelve Hours of Sebring. The Porsche customer racing team leads the GTD class points in both the team and driver standings after securing the biggest win in the team’s history to date. The Rolex 24-winning drivers Ryan Hardwick, Jan Heylen, and Zacharie Robichon will pilot the No. 16 Porsche. The John Wright-owned operation is determined to maintain the team’s 2022 success, as well as continue the two-year podium streak the team holds at Sebring International Raceway.

UNITED AUTOSPORTS IMSA LMP2 TEAM PREPARE FOR 12 HOURS OF SEBRING

United Autosports are preparing for the 70th annual 12 Hours of Sebring this weekend, the second round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

PORSCHE CUSTOMER TEAMS AIM FOR CLASS VICTORIES AT THE 12 HOURS OF SEBRING

Porsche customer teams head to the 12 Hours of Sebring as the leaders of the GTD-Pro and GTD classes. Four Porsche 911 GT3 R racing cars will tackle round two of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Pfaff Motorsports and WeatherTech Racing will contest the GTD-Pro category. Wright Motorsports and the Hardpoint squad have entered their 500+PS nine-elevens in the GTD class. The 70th running of the endurance classic in the US state of Florida counts towards the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup, which also includes the races at Daytona, Watkins Glen and Road Atlanta.

CETILAR RACING HEADS TO SEBRING FOR IMSA TWELVE HOURS

Team Cetilar Racing is set for its first appearance at the Twelve Hours of Sebring as the 3.74-mile track in Florida hosts this coming weekend (18/19 March) the second out of four IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup rounds.

PORSCHE MOURNS THE DEATH OF VIC ELFORD

Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG is paying its respects to one of the most successful and versatile works racing drivers ever to represent the Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer: Victor Henry Elford passed away on 13 March 2022 at the age of 86 at his home in Florida. The intelligent Englishman dominated rally and circuit racing around the world for years, particularly in the late 1960s. “The news of his death represents a very sad loss for us. Our thoughts are with his family,” says Michael Steiner, Member of the Executive Board, Research and Development. “We thank Vic Elford for his passion and extraordinary dedication. He was one of the most multi-talented and successful racing drivers to have competed for and with Porsche.”

PORSCHE CARRERA CUP NORTH AMERICA BRINGS 43 CARS TO SEBRING SEASON OPENER

Porsche Carrera Cup North America Presented by the Cayman Islands brings 43 identical Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars to its season-opening rounds this week at Sebring International Raceway. In only its second season, the premier one-make series will set a world standard for entries for a single region on the Porsche Motorsport Pyramid with Rounds 1 and 2 of the 16 race schedule.
