Decision time at the Hockenheimring. The iconic racetrack in the German state of Baden-Württemberg is the venue for the final round of the 2022 German GT Championship. The favourite to clinch the title is championship leader Raffaele Marciello (27/CH). The Mercedes-AMG works driver comes into the final two races of the season with a 42-point lead and, with support from team-mate Daniel Juncadella (31/E), holds all the aces. However, even a comfortable lead like this is no guarantee in the fastest GT3 series in Germany. This is something that Marciello’s closest rivals Christian Engelhart (35/Starnberg) and Ayhancan Güven (24/TR) from Team Joos Sportwagentechnik are also aware of in the Porsche 911 GT3 R. They will be on the attack and looking to put the leader under pressure from minute one.

United Autosports celebrated its fifth European Le Mans Series podium of the season yesturday (Sunday 16thOctober) at the 4 Hours of Portimão. The Ligier of Josh Caygill, Finn Gehrsitz and Bailey Voisin claimed second place in LMP3, having overcome extremely tricky track conditions caused by intermittent rain showers in Portugal.

Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver Yifei Ye and Absolute Racing will both be looking to end the 2022 European Le Mans Series (ELMS) campaign on a high at the final round in Portimao this weekend.

Seven drivers in Mercedes-AMG, Porsche and Lamborghini cars are still in with a mathematical chance of taking overall victory. But will that be enough to be crowned champion in the fastest GT3 series in Germany? 56 points are still up for grabs at the finale. Marciello’s closest rivals are Christian Engelhart (35/Starnberg) and Ayhancan Güven (24/TR) from the Joos Sportwagentechnik team – despite the deficit, the Porsche drivers refuse to accept defeat. Also hanging onto their slim hopes are third-placed Fabian Schiller (25/Troisdorf) and Jules Gounon (27/F) in the #4 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo. Trailing their fellow Mercedes-AMG driver at the top of the championship by 53 points, they still have a mathematical chance of snatching the trophy. It is a similar story for Jack Aitken (26/GB) and Albert Costa Balboa (32/E) from Emil Frey Racing in the #63 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo, who lie a further point back in fourth place.

Harry King successfully wrapped up the 2022 Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux title in fine style with a pair of victories in the final round of the campaign at Hockenheim.

Porsche Carrera Cup GB – the fastest single-marque GT racing championship in the UK – arrived at Brands Hatch for its final weekend of the season. Kiern Jewiss (Team Parker Racing) took pole position on Saturday and victory in round 15 to be crowned provisional 2022 champion. Title hopeful Will Martin (Comline Richardson Racing) was involved in a dramatic incident which ended the penultimate race of the season prematurely, while Charles Rainford (CCK Motorsport) secured a popular maiden victory in the final.

After six months, five rounds and 10 races across four countries, the Fanatec GT2 European Series Pro-Am title fights goes down to the wire in the season finale in France this weekend, 16-17 October, at Circuit Paul Ricard.

The Porsche customer teams have made an impression at the debut DTM season. At the same time, it was also the debut of the Porsche brand in the DTM. The 911 GT3 R fielded by SSR Performance and the Team 75 Bernhard achieved three victories in the storied German racing series. Works driver Thomas Preining turned heads recently with a strong result and spectacular overtaking manoeuvres. The Austrian concluded the 2022 DTM season fifth in the drivers’ championship. For the first time in DTM history, Dennis Olsen scored pole position for Porsche.

K-PAX Racing endured a challenging Indianapolis 8 Hour Saturday to conclude its 2022 season. But even through adversity, the team still managed to finalize its second-consecutive full sweep of the Fanatec GT World Challenge America Powered by AWS Championship. In its third event appearance, which is shared with the Intercontinental GT Challenge Powered by Pirelli sister series, the team battled to a Top-10 class finish.

The 2022 season for the Fanatc GT World Challenge America powered by AWS came to a close this weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The three-wide battle for the championship title in the Pro/Am class concluded with Wright Motorsports finishing the endeavour in second place, narrowly missing the top honours by one position.

Frédéric Makowiecki and Julien Andlauer have finished on the podium at the first trial run of the newly developed Porsche 911 GT3 R. The two Frenchmen achieved third place at round seven of the Nürburgring Endurance Series. The new 911 GT3 R is the second racing car from Porsche based on the 992 generation.

AARON LOVE and Liam Talbot have claimed the big trophies in the seventh round of the Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia Championship at Mount Panorama.

Mercedes-AMG has clinched the 2022 Intercontinental GT Challenge Powered by Pirelli manufacturers’ title, as well as its fourth-straight IGTC victory, by winning the Indianapolis 8 Hour Presented by AWS at the Brickyard this evening.
