TRUE RACING KTM DOUBLE UP AT SPA

True Racing by Reiter Engineering sealed a dream weekend in the fourth round of the Fanatec GT2 European Series, with Filip Sladecka and Stefan Rosina doubling up on outright wins at Spa-Francorchamps.

K-PAX RACING CURTAILS WATKINS GLEN WOES WITH A PODIUM FINISH

K-PAX Racing has long been the team to beat for many GT3 teams in the Fanatec GT World Challenge America Powered by AWS paddock – 11 straight races from the team’s September sweep at Watkins Glen International last season. The win streak put a target on the team, and while it has enjoyed the taste of champagne and victory at the top of the podium each event since that initial sweep, K-PAX Racing was faced with a more challenging stop at “The Glen” for Rounds 7 & 8 of the 2022 championship.

TRIPLE EIGHT JMR’S IBRAHIM AND FOSTER BATTLE TO GT WORLD CHALLENGE ASIA VICTORY AT FUJI

Prince Jefri Ibrahim and Nick Foster consolidated their place at the top of Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS’s overall standings by battling to their second win of the season in Race 2 at Fuji today.

CARGUY UNSTOPPABLE AGAIN IN GT WORLD CHALLENGE ASIA WEEKEND OPENER AT FUJI

Takeshi Kimura and Kei Cozzolino came home comfortable winners in the first of this weekend’s two Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS races at Fuji after CarGuy Racing’s Ferrari started on pole, slipped to fourth and worked its way back into contention post pitstops.

FIVE BMW M4 GT3 TO LINE IN THE 24 HOURS OF SPA

For the BMW M Motorsport teams and drivers, the next big highlight of the endurance season is just around the corner: the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps (BEL) on 30th/31st July. ROWE Racing Team fields two BMW M4 GT3 in the Pro class, and will hope to challenge for the overall victory. The BMW Junior Team is making its Spa debut in the number 50 car. Walkenhorst Motorsport and ST Racing also line up with a total of three cars in the Cup classes, as the BMW M4 GT3 makes its first appearance in the biggest GT3 race in the world. BMW is the record winner of the 24h Spa-Francorchamps, with 24 victories to its name.

GT4 EUROPEAN SERIES SET FOR RECORD ENTRY AHEAD OF BIGGEST RACES OF THE SEASON AT SPA

The GT4 European Series is gearing up for its biggest race weekend of the season, and in more ways than one, with a record 55-car entry expected for two races running in support of the world’s most prestigious GT3 event.

LAMBORGHINI ANNOUNCES DRIVERS BORTOLOTTI AND CALDARELLI FOR THE LMDh PROGRAM

Lamborghini Squadra Corse has announced the first two drivers in the line-up for the LMDh (Le Mans Daytona h) program, which will debut in 2024 in the FIA World Endurance Championship (Hypercar class) and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (GTP class). The Factory Drivers Andrea Caldarelli and Mirko Bortolotti, both currently involved in the most important GT competitions with Lamborghini, have been confirmed for the new project, not only as drivers but also as test drivers, contributing to the development of the prototype.

PFAFF MOTORSPORTS EARNS OVERALL WIN AT LIME ROCK

Porsche customer team Pfaff Motorsports won overall at Saturday’s Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park. The victory, the fourth for Porsche in the GTD Pro class and sixth total for the 911 GT3 R race car thus far in the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, came in the all-GT car feature event at the Lakeville, Connecticut race track. This is the first overall win for the German sports car manufacturer this year. Pfaff will have its next chance at the overall win when the second of two GT3-spec only races is run at VIRginia International Raceway (VIR), August 25 – 28.

QUALIFYING WAS NO WALK IN THE PARK AT LIME ROCK FOR BMW M TEAM RLL

Connor De Phillippi qualified the No. 25 BMW M Team RLL BMW M4 GT3 third in the GTD PRO class but following a failure of post-qualifying technical inspection will start at the rear of the 15-car GT class field in tomorrow’s two-hour-and-forty-minute Northeast Grand Prix. De Phillippi posted a 51.227- minute lap around the 1.5-mile, 7-turn Lime Rock Park circuit, only .148 seconds behind the pole-sitting No. 9 Porsche 911 GT3R. The BMW was moved to the rear of the field for failing to meet the minimum ride height. De Phillippi will co-drive with John Edwards tomorrow. The pair stands sixth in GTD PRO class driver point standings with a season’s-best third place finish at Laguna Seca earlier this year.
