The 2020 ADAC GT Masters was a season of superlatives, with more race winners than ever before and the closest qualifying in history of the series. With Christmas approaching rapidly, BMW Junior Team can look back on an eventful first year of training. Dan Harper (GBR), Max Hesse (GER) and Neil Verhagen (USA) have overcome the challenges thrown up by the pandemic, which could not have been foreseen at the start of the year, have grown together as a team, and have achieved great sporting success. What started with a training camp with Formula Medicine in January reached its high point with class victory in the BMW M4 GT4 at the Nürburgring 24 Hours (GER). BMW Junior Team and its mentor Jochen Neerpasch are now looking forward to stepping up to the BMW M6 GT3 next season.

K-PAX Racing, entering its 15th season of operation, announced Monday an exciting extension of its legacy by transitioning to Lamborghini Squadra Corse for the 2021 season. The team will enter a two-car effort in the premiere Pro category of GT World Challenge America Powered by AWS, retracing its strong heritage back into the United States as the focal point for the season.

CETILAR RACING PREPARES 24 HOURS OF DAYTONA ASSAULT

Team Cetilar Racing is set for a new challenge, making its debut in the 24 Hours of Daytona scheduled for the last week of January. The race of Florida – IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship 2021 season opener – will mark the last official appearance of the #47 Dallara LMP2 carfielded by the Roberto Lacorte’s squad, following the FIA WEC campaign ended last month with the 8 Hours of Bahrain and four consecutive 24 Hours of Le Mans participation.

ADAC GT MASTERS WITH STRONG FIELD AND EIGHT BRANDS 2021

The ADAC GT Masters will be embarking on its 15th season in 2021 with a field of more than 30 super sports cars from eight different brands. By mid-December, 20 teams had submitted their entries for the International German GT Championship, the ADAC GT Masters, and have thus secured places on the grid. The field will be even more diverse next year as Aston Martin and Honda return to the series. The ADAC GT Masters will get the new season under way in the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben on the weekend of 14th/16th May 2021.

LAMBORGHINI SQUADRA CORSE ANNOUNCES ITS 2021 FACTORY DRIVERS

Lamborghini Squadra Corse has unveiled its roster of Factory Drivers for the 2021 season, which will see the return of long-time Lamborghini servant Mirko Bortolotti and the graduation of recently crowned British GT champion Sandy Mitchell into the ranks. Also stepping up is the Lamborghini Young Driver of the year Raul Guzman, who will become the development test driver of the Huracán GT3 Evo.

MUSTANG SAMPLING RACING/JDC-MILLER MOTORSPORTS CONFIRM DRIVERS AND IMSA PROGRAM

Minnesota based JDC-Miller MotorSports in partnership with Mustang Sampling Racing confirmed today that Loïc Duval, Tristan Vautier and Sébastien Bourdais will return to the program for 2021. The all French lineup raced together in the team’s 2020 Mustang Sampling Racing/JDC-Miller MotorSports No. 5 entry in several races during last year’s championship.

In an extremely thrilling finale of the Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC), Audi Sport Team WRT improved from seventh place to second position. Mirko Bortolotti/Frédéric Vervisch/Charles Weerts crossed the finish line 22 hundredths of a second behind the winners in the rain chaos behind the safety car. However, in addition to the joy about the improvement in the course of the race, there was also disappointment in the Audi camp: victory seemed within reach shortly before the end.
