After closing out the 2020 race season with a second place finish at the Twelve Hours of Sebring, Tower Motorsport is back for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Challenge’s season opening event, the Rolex 24 at Daytona. The No. 8 Tower Motorsport Oreca LMP2 07 will be driven by John Farano, Gabriel Aubry, Timothé Buret, and Matthieu Vaxiviere.

NTE SPORT RACES INTO 2021 WEATHERTECH SEASON WITH AUDI R8 LMS

One year after making their IMSA debut in the Michelin Pilot Challenge, NTE Sport is climbing up the motorsport ranks to compete in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, racing an Audi R8 LMS in this month’s Rolex 24 At Daytona. The team, led by owner Paul Mata will run the No. 42 machine in the 24 hour endurance racing event, driven by Alan Metni, Andrew Davis, J.R. Hildebrand, and Don Yount. 

TOYOTA GAZOO RACING INTRODUCES GR010 HYBRID HYPERCAR

The reigning World Champions and three-time Le Mans winners will defend those titles against new manufacturer competitors using a racing version of the upcoming hypercar road car, featuring powertrain technology developed in the TS050 HYBRID and highlighted via new Racing Hybrid branding.

GLOBAL PROGRAM IN 2021 FOR AUDI SPORT CUSTOMER RACING

Audi Sport customer racing will continue its international program in 2021 to complement its customers’ commitments. For the sixth year in succession, Audi will contest the Intercontinental GT Challenge, which will be held in Asia, America, Europe and South Africa next year. The Nürburgring 24 Hours will also be a fixture on the Audi Sport calendar for the 13th consecutive year. The brand will face the sporting competitions of the coming year with 15 Audi Sport drivers.

RILEY MOTORSPORTS ENLISTS SPENCER PIGOT FOR THE ROLEX 24

As the 2021 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona beckons, Riley Motorsports has enlisted Spencer Pigot (USA) to the No. 74 Ligier JS P320 alongside Gar Robinson (USA), Oliver Askew (USA) and Scott Andrews (AUS). Pigot will serve as a substitute for full season driver, Felipe Fraga, who remains in Brazil due to a COVID-19 related immigration issue.
