Last weekend’s sensational triumph for Walkenhorst Motorsport at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps (BEL) with the BMW M6 GT3 was the highlight of the 2018 season so far from a BMW Customer Racing point of view. After seven months of race action, it has been a more than positive year to date for the three BMW M Motorsport customer race cars: the BMW M6 GT3, the new BMW M4 GT4 and the BMW M235i Racing have enjoyed plenty of success and thrilled motorsport fans around the world. As well as the BMW M6 GT3’s magnificent victory at Spa, the new BMW M4 GT4, in its first season, has also proved to be a successful model from the word go in the hands of international customers.

Strakka Racing announces today that it will field an increased three-car Mercedes-AMG GT3 entry for the Intercontinental GT Challenge Suzuka 10 Hours in Japan on 26 August. Strakka Racing is an official customer racing team of Mercedes-AMG.

Liam Talbot has won a thrilling opening CAMS Australian GT Championship race at Sydney Motorsport Park after an inch-perfect performance.

Following a dominating win two weeks ago at Lime Rock Park, Paul Miller Racing will enter this weekend’s Continental Tire Road Race Showcase at Road America with a ten point lead. The No. 48 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 has yet to finish outside the top four in seven races, making Bryan Sellers and Madison Snow the duo to watch in round eight of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

After a series of challenging races in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Tequila Patrón ESM is pressing on to the next round in the championship to Road America, where the team earned Nissan its first DPi win in 2017. Drivers Johannes van Overbeek and Pipo Derani brought the No. 22 Nissan Onroak DPi to victory with drivers Scott Sharp and Ryan Dalziel finishing third in the No. 2 Nissan Onroak DPi, scoring the team a double podium finish.

They’re definitely not alone in these sentiments, but No. 66 Ford GT co-drivers Joey Hand and Dirk Mueller love racing at Road America, which hosts the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship for this Sunday’s two-hour, 40-minute Continental Tire Road Race Showcase.

The annual trip to Road America for the IMSA Continental Tire Sports Car Showcase is always a highlight for BMW Team RLL. The classic Wisconsin circuit was the site of BMW Team RLL’s very first pole position and victory in 2009 behind the efforts of Bill Auberlen and Joey Hand in their BMW M3 GT. Over the past eight seasons the team has scored an additional two poles and seven podium finishes at the historic motor circuit, including two more wins in 2010 and 2012.

The biggest success in the history of Walkenhorst Motorsport so far is the  sensational victory at the iconic Spa-Francorchamps (BEL) 24 Hours. After 24 hours and 511 laps of racing, the BMW customer racing  team from Melle near Osnabrück (GER) came home ahead of all the high-class teams from other manufacturers. The #34 BMW M6 GT3, driven by BMW works drivers Philipp Eng (AUT) and Tom Blomqvist (GBR) together with their team-mate Christian Krognes (NOR), crossed the finish line in first place. The BMW success was rounded off by a fine second place for the ROWE Racing #99 BMW M6 GT3 which, like Walkenhorst Motorsport, is a customer team supported by BMW Motorsport.

After scoring its maiden team win at Lime Rock Park just two weeks ago, TeamTGM has its focus set to nab another victory at this weekend’s IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge (CTSC) Road America 120.

Throughout its 20 seasons of competition, Corvette Racing has filled its résumé with some of the best racetracks in the world – 26 to be exact. None may be more liked than Road America, the picturesque four-mile track in the Kettle Moraine region of Wisconsin.

With the race season in full swing, Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) continues its run of back-to-back race events with a third consecutive weekend of action as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship heads to Road America for the Continental Tire Road Race Showcase this Sunday.

Cadillac V-Performance Racing teams Konica Minolta Cadillac, Mustang Sampling Cadillac and Whelen Engineering Cadillac are headed to Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin for the Continental Tire Road Race Showcase to run Aug. 3-5.

Alessandro Pier Guidi (Italy) will join Cooper MacNeil (Hinsdale, Ill.) in the WeatherTech Racing Ferrari for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Continental Tire Road Race Showcase to run at Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, Aug. 3-5.

Chipping Norton racing driver Sean Walkinshaw made a consistently competitive return to the world’s biggest GT3 endurance race, the Total 24 Hours of Spa, at the weekend, 28th/29th July, with a top five finish in the Silver Cup category for the GT Sport MOTUL Team RJN entry.
