WRIGHT MOTORSPORTS WINS GT AMERICA, GT WORLD CHALLENGE TITLES AT INDIANAPOLIS

Wright Motorsports has ended the 2021 SRO America race season as victors, collecting every eligible championship title between its two race programs in SRO GT America and GT World Challenge America. Charlie Luck and the team behind the No. 45 Porsche 911 GT3 R race car clinched both the Masters class and overall Drivers’ Championship, as well as the GT3 Team Championship in GT America. In GT World Challenge America, the team on Fred Poordad and Jan Heylen’s No. 20 Porsche 911 GT3 R secured the 2021 Team Championship on Sunday afternoon, accompanying the Drivers’ title acquired two weeks ago at Sebring International Raceway.

The John Wright-led team celebrated another rewarding sports car racing weekend in SRO America, earning two pole positions and three podiums across its two Porsche racing efforts at Watkins Glen International. Both Porsche 911 GT3 R race cars had strong performances in each of the races, producing another points-hauling weekend to maintain the championship lead Fred Poordad, Jan Heylen, and Charlie Luck have accumulated throughout the season.

WRIGHT MOTORSPORTS RETURNS TO VICTORY CIRCLE AT ROAD AMERICA

Wright Motorsports secured two victories this weekend at Road America, scoring wins in both SRO GT World Challenge America and SRO GT America with its pair of Porsche race cars. Points leader Charlie Luck celebrated his sixth win this season in the No. 45 Porsche 911 GT3 R on Saturday in GT America, then the pair of Fred Poordad and Jan Heylen followed suit the following day, driving the No. 20 Porsche 911 GT3 R to first in class, third overall.
