HEINRICHER RACING TO COMPETE IN IMSA’s DETROIT GRAND PRIX

The No. 57 Caterpillar Acura NSX GT3 of Heinricher Racing with Meyer Shank Racing heads to Detroit at the end of the month for IMSA’s Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear. Katherine Legge and Christina Nielsen will team up for the one-hour and 40-minute event around the 2.35-mile Belle Isle street circuit.

The 27-year-old Dane is one of the stars of North American motorsport. In 2016 and 2017, she won the GTD class of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. This year, she is competing for the first time in a Mercedes-AMG GT3. After her debut in the 12h Bathurst, Christina will compete next weekend for STRAKKA Racing together with Dominik Baumann (AUT) and Adam Christodoulou (GBR) at the California 8 Hours of Laguna Seca, the second round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC).

CRAFT-BAMBOO RACING SIGNS CHRISTINA NIELSON FOR BLANCPAIN GT WORLD CHALLENGE ASIA

Craft-Bamboo Racing, an Official Performance Team of Mercedes-AMG, signs the international pairing of Christina Nielsen and Darryl O’Young for the 2019 Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia season. The pair will share driving duties of the striking green, white and black #99 Mercedes-AMG GT3, running in the top GT3 Silver Cup class.

PORSCHE FACTORY AND CUSTOMER TEAMS RETURN TO MID-OHIO

The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship will make its first appearance at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Sunday, May 6 to contest round four of the 2018 season. It is the first time major North American sports car racing will run at the Lexington, Ohio track since 2012.

Christina Nielsen’s second race with Wright Motorsports resulted in a sixth-place finish at the famously difficult Sebring International Raceway. Her co-drivers Patrick Long, Mathieu Jaminet and Robert Renauer powered through the Mobil 12 Hours of Sebring in the team’s No. 58 Porsche Consulting/Porsche Digital Porsche 911 GT3 R. Valuable points were added to the Wright Motorsports IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GT-Daytona class purse after completing the grueling Floridian endurance race.

NIELSEN DETERMINED TO CONTINUE PATTERN OF SUCCESS AT THE 12 HOURS OF SEBRING

The Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring is one of Christina Nielsen’s most prolific IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship races of the Tequila Patrón North American Endurance Cup season. From March 14 to 17, she’ll race the 66th annual endurance event with a Wright Motorsports-prepared Porsche. The Ohio-based team will support Nielsen and co-drivers Patrick Long, Mathieu Jaminet and Robert Renauer in the No. 58 911 GT3 R at this famously treacherous track for the race in Sebring, Florida. This is the second round of a dozen events in the IMSA series in which Nielsen is defending her two-time GTD-class championship.
