This year’s edition of the 24-hour race at the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya in Montmeló marks the 20th running of the event, locally referred to as ’24 Hores de Barcelona – Trofeu Fermí Vélez’. It is the fifth round of the 2018 European Championship in the 24H GT SERIES powered by Hankook and the fourth round of the 24H TCE SERIES powered by Hankook. With only one more round coming up after the event in Spain, it could very well be that the first champions can already be crowned at the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya.
