After a series of challenging races in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Tequila Patrón ESM is pressing on to the next round in the championship to Road America, where the team earned Nissan its first DPi win in 2017. Drivers Johannes van Overbeek and Pipo Derani brought the No. 22 Nissan Onroak DPi to victory with drivers Scott Sharp and Ryan Dalziel finishing third in the No. 2 Nissan Onroak DPi, scoring the team a double podium finish.

WATKINS GLEN ENDS IN EARLY HEARTBREAK FOR ESM

A podium finish at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen has again eluded Tequila Patrón ESM. Although the Nissan Onroak DPi team showed strong speeds and consistent improvements throughout the IMSA SportsCar Championship weekend, the team retired both cars early from the six hour endurance event.

ESM NISSAN DPis SEEK TO CONQUER UNFINISHED BUSINESS AT WAKTINS GLEN

As the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship reaches the halfway point in the 2018 season, the Tequila Patrón North American Endurance Cup resumes this weekend at Watkins Glen International. The Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen is the third race in the four races that make up the TPNAEC, an endurance championship within the existing calendar. While a win at Watkins Glen International has eluded Tequila Patrón ESM, the prototype team has dominated qualifying the last two years, earning pole positions in 2016 and 2017.

ESM BRINGS NISSAN PROTOTYPES TO MID-OHIO

Following a second place finish last month at the Long Beach Grand Prix, Tequila Patrón ESM will travel to Lexington, Ohio this weekend for the next round in the IMSA WeatherTech series, the Acura SportsCar Challenge at Mid-Ohio SportsCar Course. The No. 2 Nissan Onroak DPi and the No. 22 Nissan Onroak DPi have each celebrated podium finishes in the last two races, and will look to carry that momentum into round four of the championship.

ESM RETURNS TO PODIUM AT LONG BEACH GRAND PRIX

Strong strategy, fast pit stops, and commanding passes from the Tequila Patrón ESM squad earned the team a second place finish Saturday afternoon at the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s BUBBA burger SportsCar Grand Prix at Long Beach. Scott Sharp and Ryan Dalziel piloted the Nissan Onroak DPi to a second place finish, earning the No. 2 car’s first podium of the 2018 season.

Tequila Patrón ESM claimed a repeat victory Saturday evening at Sebring International Raceway when the No. 22 Nissan Onroak DPi crossed the finish line in first position after running for twelve hours and 344 laps. Drivers Pipo Derani, Johannes van Overbeek, and Nico Lapierre ran a flawless race to bring Tequila Patrón ESM its second victory at the legendary event.
