Oregon Team’s Kevin Gilardoni and Leonardo Pulcini claimed their first Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe victory of the season, profiting from two penalties for on-the-road winners Jonathan Cecotto and Kevin Rossel (GSM Racing). Gilardoni and Pulcini started the race fourth on the grid but lost ground early on after contact at Turn 1 but stayed out of trouble and remained fast throughout to come out on top.

Lamborghini recorded a sensational one-two finish on the opening weekend of the International GT Open season at the Circuit Paul Ricard in the south of France, with Michele Beretta and Frederik Schandorff leading home VS Racing team-mates Yuki Nemoto and Baptiste Moulin in Race 2. Schandorff and Beretta had started the second 60-minute race of the weekend from fifth on the grid but produced a superb second-stint charge to take the win by 4.633s at the flag. Moulin took over from Nemoto at the driver-change pit-stop and stole second place at the final corner.

The GT4 European Series drivers’ and teams’ titles were all decided at Circuit Paul Ricard this weekend during the final round of the 2020 season. Silver Cup, Am Cup and the teams’ title went to AGS Events, with Allied-Racing winning the Pro-Am Cup this season. NM Racing Team concluded the season with a double victory in France.
