Arden International today announce that leading European FIA Formula 3 driver Maximilian Günther has moved a step closer to his Formula 1 path by graduating into FIA Formula 2 for 2018 with British based powerhouse team Arden International.
12 months ago, Joel Eriksson experienced one of the most heartbreaking moments of his career to date when he was sent into retirement by a fellow rival while in the lead and on course for his first-ever Formula 3 victory.
To comply with the new rules no changes on existing parts can be made and no extra parts can be added to the car to create an aerodynamic advantage, hence costly wind tunnel testing has become unnecessary.
Maximilian Günther (Prema Powerteam) is the winner of the ninth race of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship with the official status of the ‘Grand Prix de Pau’.
