WRIGHT MOTORSPORTS DOMINATES AT CIRCUIT OF THE AMERICAS

The Wright Motorsports Porsches dominated the race weekend at Circuit of the Americas, sweeping both GT World Challenge America powered by AWS victories, and earning an additional three podium finishes at the Austin, Texas- area track. Drivers Adam Adelson and Elliott Skeer won the two headlining races of the weekend, followed by second and third-place finishes by Charlie Luck and Jan Heylen in the No. 45 Porsche 911 GT3 R.

WRIGHT MOTORSPORTS LEADS THE PACK INTO AUSTIN WITH CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS ADVANTAGE

From a rainy weekend in New Orleans to the sunny heat of Texas, the SRO America group travels to Austin for the next rounds of the sports car racing season, and Wright Motorsports rides in with the championship points lead. The two-car Porsche racing team has garnered two wins and four podiums to date so far in the Fanatec GT World Challenge America Powered by AWS, creating an eight-point lead over CrowdStrike by Riley. Meanwhile in GT America Powered by AWS, the team sits in sixth place after completing four of the six rounds to date. Circuit of the Americas (COTA) will host the next two rounds of each championship, with four races between Saturday, May 20th and Sunday, May 21st.

THE HEART OF RACING HEADS TO TEXAS FOR COTA SRO

The Heart of Racing (HOR) will head to the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) May 19-21 for the next round of SRO Pirelli GT4 America and GT America powered by AWS competition. The series returns to the Texas track for the first time since 2021, as Gray Newell and the No. 25 Aston Martin team are chasing the championship lead and enter the weekend third in GT America championship points. 

LAMBORGHINI CONTINUES PERFECT START TO GT WORLD CHALLENGE AMERICA SEASON AT COTA

Lamborghini remains unbeaten in the 2021 Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS season following another double victory for K-PAX Racing at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. Lamborghini Factory Driver Andrea Caldarelli and team-mate Jordan Pepper claimed the third consecutive victory for the #3 car in a rain-affected opener, while fellow Factory Driver Giovanni Venturini and Corey Lewis took the sister #6 car to its first win of the year in Race 2 following a last-lap pass on Pepper.

FLYING LIZARD MOTORSPORTS CLINCHES GT4 AMERICA SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIP AT THE CIRCUIT OF THE AMERICAS

Sunday morning at Circuit of the Americas, Flying Lizard Motorsports driver Michael Dinan unofficially secured the GT4 America Sprint Am championship in the No. 210 Aston Martin Vantage GT4, earning the team its seventh championship to date. Dinan, together with co-driver Robby Foley, celebrated another SprintX Pro/AM win in the No. 21 Aston Martin Vantage GT4. After almost a full season of technical gremlins, the No. 30 McLaren of Erin Vogel and Michael Cooper enjoyed a smooth run, finally able to run within the GT4 America pack.

FLYING LIZARD MOTORSPORTS RETURNS TO THE CIRCUIT OF THE AMERICAS

As the 2020 season moves closer to its conclusion, the GT4 Americas championship returns to Circuit of the Americas this weekend for the second to last event of the year. Flying Lizard Motorsports will compete in four of the five rounds with its pair of Aston Martin Martin Vantage GT4s, driven by Michael Dinan and Robby Foley in Sprint and SprintX, and a McLaren 570S GT4 driven by Erin Vogel and Michael Cooper in SprintX.

FIRST VICTORY FOR THE AUDI R8 LMS GT4 IN THE UNITED STATES

GMG Racing celebrates first American success for Audi R8 LMS GT4: James Sofronas and Alex Welch stood on the top step of the podium in the SprintX season opener of the Pirelli World Challenge. The two Americans from Team GMG Racing won the second single race of the opening event on the circuit of Austin, Texas, achieving the first victory for the new customer sport race car in North America. After the one-hour race, the advantage of their Audi R8 LMS GT4 was 3.3 seconds. With 37 entrants the GT4 category in the Pirelli World Challenge is one of the best-filled GT4 classes worldwide. Sofronas, who is both the team’s owner and a driver, is ranked in third place of the standings after two of a total of eight individual races in the GTS class of the SprintX classification.

JASON BELL PREPARES FOR TEXAS WITH M1 GT RACING

Jason Bell and M1 GT Racing started their 2018 season in the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) program at the Streets of St. Petersburg two weekends ago. Standing on the podium in his first event behind the wheel of the sleek-looking Audi R8 LMS GT4, Bell is determined to improve to the top step of the podium this coming weekend at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.

FLYING LIZARD PREPARES FOR SPRINTX SEASON DEBUT IN RECORD SETTING FIELD

The 2018 Pirelli World Challenge resumes this weekend at Circuit of the Americas with a record setting field of 38 cars in the GTS class. The Grand Prix of Texas stands as the second race weekend of the year, but the first for the SprintX championship: a new championship placed within the existing championship. Located just south of Austin, Texas, the world class facility of Circuit of the Americas will host four days of on track action, and Flying Lizard Motorsports will compete with Audi R8 LMS GT4s, driven by Mike Hedlund, Adam Merzon, and Ryan Eversley.

M1 GT RACING RETURNS TO COTA IN QUEST FOR STRONG RESULTS

M1 GT Racing kicked off the 2018 season in the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) program two weekends ago at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg in sunny Florida. Competing in their new Audi R8 LMS GT4, the team managed to secure their first podiums of the year with team driver Jason Bell. Now, with one event weekend under their belt, the Florida based team and driver have their sights set on a race win this coming weekend during rounds three and four at the prestigious Circuit of the Americas.
