KÜS TEAM BERNHARD SIGNS DEFENDING CHAMPION CHRISTIAN ENGELHART FOR 2021 ADAC GT MASTERS

Küs Team Bernhard has a prominent newcomer: The racing team of two-time Le Mans winner and FIA World Endurance Champion, Timo Bernhard, has acquired the services of the defending champion in the ADAC GT Masters, Christian Engelhart (34/Starnberg). The German will share a Porsche 911 GT3 R with Porsche works driver Thomas Preining (22/A). The team disclosed this secret exclusively on Sunday in the latest edition of PS on Air – The Ravenol ADAC GT Masters Talk. The opening round of this season’s German GT Championship takes place from 14th to 16th May in Oschersleben.

The 2020 ADAC GT Masters was a season of superlatives, with more race winners than ever before and the closest qualifying in history of the series. SSR PERFORMANCE ALL SET FOR FIRST SEASON IN THE ADAC GT MASTERS

New outfit joins ADAC GT Masters. After enjoying a very promising outing as guest entrants last year at Hockenheim, SSR Performance are set to contest their first full season in this year’s Super Sports Car League. During a session of the online live broadcast, PS on Air – The Ravenol ADAC GT Masters talk show, the Munich-based team introduced their very experienced driver pairing – last year’s championship runner-up, Christian Engelhart (33, GER), plus Michael Ammermüller (34, GER) – and talked about the eye-catching livery of their Porsche 911 GT3 R.

AFTER VICTORY AT HOCKENHEIM GRT GRASSER RACING LIMBER UP FOR ADAC GT MASTERS SHOWDOWN

Things are hotting up in the ADAC GT Masters 2019, and Orange1 by GRT Grasser are right at the heart of the action. At the Hockenheimring last weekend, their three Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVOs came away with another big points haul. Christian Engelhart and Mirko Bortolotti in the number 63 car continued their current successful run with a victory in the first race of the weekend. On Sunday, the number 82 pairing of Rolf Ineichen and Franck Perera secured a further podium, this time for third.

PODIUM NUMBER THREE FOR GRT GRASSER RACING IN THE BLANCPAIN GT WORLD CHALLENGE EUROPE

Onto the home straight in the 2019 Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe: GRT Grasser Racing Team were contesting the penultimate race weekend of the season at the Nürburgring. With one podium appearance and a points finish, Gottfried Grasser’s outfit once again did him proud. Much of the credit for the result has to go to the pit crew. In the pit lane, the field is as tight as on the race track, and every last tenth of a second counts.

TWO PODIUM FINISHES FOR GRT GRASSER RACING TEAM AT ZANDVOORT

For GRT Grasser Racing, the Zandvoort weekend was the third of the Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe season after Brands Hatch and Misano. The team arrived at the circuit set amid the North Sea dunes with two Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVOs – the number 63 to race in the Pro class and the number 19 in the Silver Cup. The weekend turned out to be a successful one for GRT Grasser Racing, with two podium finishes, an outcome that puts the team in an upbeat mood as they now prepare for the standout fixture on the race calendar in just two weeks’ time (25th – 28th July), namely the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.

GRT GRASSER IN THE POINTS WILL ALL THREE CARS IN SUNDAY’S ADAC GT MASTERS RACE AT RED BULL RING

For Orange1 by GRT Grasser, last weekend with their home race at the Red Bull Ring was the highlight of the ADAC GT Masters season. Team headquarters are in Knittelfeld just a few kilometres from the track. The outfit wanted to do well in front of a home crowd – more than 16,000 spectators came to the Red Bull Ring at the weekend. The success they had hoped to achieve came in the second race, as all three Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVOs finished in the points. The Balance of Performance (BoP), damage to tyres and confusion about track limits prevented a better result in the first race.

GRT GRASSER RACING PREPARING FOR HOME EVENT AT RED BULL RING

Home fixture, home race, a matter truly dear to the heart – these and countless other ideas and feelings spring to mind for members of Team Orange1 by GRT Grasser every season when the ADAC GT Masters comes to the Red Bull Ring for a race weekend. And we’ve reached that time of year again. It is less than ten kilometres from their home base in Knittelfeld to the Red Bull Ring at Spielberg. Obviously, it goes without saying that the event is something very special on the calendar for the outfit led by Team Principal Gottfried Grasser.

GRT GRASSER RACING IN BLANCPAIN GT SERIES ENDURANCE CUP TOP 10 AT LE CASTELLET

GRT Grasser Racing left the Circuit Paul Ricard on Saturday with mixed feelings. In the third round of the 2019 Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup at Le Castellet in France, the crews of the two Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVOs did not have the best of weekends, despite their strong pace. Lamborghini works driver Mirko Bortolotti and his team-mates Rolf Ineichen and Christian Engelhart in the number 63 car still finished the race with a respectable P7 in a field of 49 GT3 sports cars.

TWO ADAC GT MASTERS PODIUMS FOR GRT GRASSER RACING AT MOST

Successful second weekend in the ADAC GT Masters for Orange1 by GRT Grasser at Autodrom Most. The Austrian team had an excellent showing in front of some 18,000 fans, who came through the gates over the three days to watch the very best that racing has to offer. After two highly competitive races, Orange1 by GRT Grasser return home with two podiums, one pole position, one fastest lap and a total of 45 championship points.

LAMBORGHINI SQUADRA CORSE RECONFIRMS THE SIX FACTORY DRIVERS AND ANNOUNCES THEIR 2018 SPORTS PROGRAMS

For the 2018 season, the Motorsport department of Automobili Lamborghini has reconfirmed the 6 factory drivers and signed a long-term contract extension with Mirko Bortolotti, Andrea Caldarelli and Christian Engelhart. Additionally, Marco Mapelli and Giovanni Venturini have also been reconfirmed and Raffaele Giammaria has been included as a tester and youth program coordinator.
