Changing weather makes for an amazing first race in PAU
Joel Eriksson wins a crash filled first race in Pau
From pole position Callum Ilott crashes out on the wet corner on the first lap of the race at the exit of the chicane , rain starts on minute 27 and at minute 26, Zhou Guanyu hits the wall bringing out yellow flags and then the safety car because of where the car was positioned the crane could not get to it to lift it out of the track.
At 6 minute left on the clock Joey Mawson hits the wall and Jake Dennis follows him in to the wall in a big crash leaving 2 laps after the restart to finish the race.
Each restart Joel Eriksson controled the restarts trying different tactics to shake off the very talented and reactive Lando Norris.
With the slick surface it was not easy to be the front runner having to be the first to test the track on each lap but Eriksson takes it home starting from the first row!
