Drivex will contest the penultimate round of the International GT Open at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza next weekend. Besides, its driver lineup will include small changes as Alan Hellmeister will be returning to drive the Mercedes AMG GT3 with Marcelo Hahn.

Allam Khodair will be unable to compete at Monza as a result of his racing commitments in his home country of Brazil. The Drivex pairing of Hahn and Hellmeister proved excellent pace at the Paul Ricard circuit, where they claimed a Pro-Am class win and a third overall on Sunday following their podium on the previous day. Shortly after, they also made into the top-3 in Pro-Am class at the Hungaroring. With this in mind and with less handicap time in comparison with Silverstone, the Spanish outfit feels optimistic ahead of the round just in the north of Milan.

After five of the seven rounds, Hahn currently sits 4th in the Pro-Am class on 36 points but the stakes could not be higher for title.

27 cars will be entered for Monza, 11 of them in Pro-Am class.

Saturday’s will take place at 11.35 with the seventy-minute race scheduled at 16.15. On Sunday, after the second qualifying session will take place at 10.15 and 60-minute race will get underway at 14.15. All time local.

Miguel Ángel de Castro: “Monza is Italy’s Temple of Speed and the fastest circuit on the calendar. We didn´t Lady Luck on our side at Silverstone because after a crash in Q1, our car got damaged and we were forced to retire on Sunday. Our chances were much better in race 2 with less handicap but that incident killed our chances. At least, we have a better handicap for Monza. I feel confident about our chances because I think our drivers will manage to learn Monza quickly. We have loads of experience there, so we will able to help them. I’m looking forward to competing there.”
