MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Germain Racing has hired veteran crew chief Matt Borland to call the shots on the No. 13 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 driven by Ty Dillon in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series next year.
Borland, who most recently worked as crew chief for Paul Menard at Richard Childress Racing, is signed to a multi-year agreement. He replaces the departing Bootie Barker as crew chief at Germain Racing.
“Matt Borland brings a varied skill set to our No. 13 program. With his engineering skills and veteran leadership, we are looking forward to continued improvements in our team results as we move into the new season and beyond,” said team owner Bob Germain Jr.
In his first full season of racing in the NASCAR Cup Series this year Dillon finished 24th in points and failed to finish inside the top-10 during the 36-race season.
